Reba having a sitcom is such a weird thing.

She's so specific, y'know? Like country music is not a universally admired music genre. And as a country singer, unless you're that psycho Garth Brooks, odds are people who don't listen to it probably don't know who the fuck you are. But somehow she ended up having her own show that aired on WB for like six years.

I mean, props to her, I guess. I'm not a huge fan of the show, but some people love it. The whole thing is just very interesting to me.

Because the WB was the cream of the crop of entertainment....What even is this.

Why did LL Cool J have a show, Why Chris Isaac....Dolly Parton....Why to any of it....Why are we singling out Reba.

Other than Reba, I had no idea any of those other musicians had shows.

I hear Snoop Dogg has a game show on TBS. Unless it's been canceled.

Oh and let us not forget Flavor of Love. And all of its copy cats (like Rock of Love, for example).

Brandy had a show too way back when.

Obviously it's because LL Cool J knows how to command a stage.  Also, it's about that time where I look around futilely for collections of the Chris Isaak Show.  Shit made no sense, but I still loved it.

Because it was on the TV at work the other day.

It may be an age thing for you or it may be that you don't really have a perspective how huge country music is. In the late 80s and early 90s her songs were everywhere and she was a household name because she just had "something" that caught people's attention. The woman is still able to headline arena tours despite her best-selling album days being about 30 years behind her.

But the thing that helped her get the TV part more than anything is that she actually had acting talent. She was actually pretty great in Tremors as gun-toting survivalist married to the dad from Family Ties.
