Not completely true.

I would hang out with the local feral community when I was growing up. Every nice evening in summer, they would all gather in a circle with the oldest badass tom sitting with his back against the building facing the setting sun. To his right were allowed the fighters, hunters, very ferals. To his left were allowed the tame, the lame, the kittens, and me. Everyone had their spot and the only 'fighting' was mock spaz battles between kittens with too much pent up energy. I was not allowed on the right side.

I have noticed my cat doing that to my mom's account once or twice and they don't even like each other
