Ghost pepper wings at Popeyes

I would've preferred a bit more heat but they were decent. Next time even if they still had them(don't eat there much so they probably won't) I'd go back to the sandwich.

Huh I have not had Popeye's in a long time the nearest one is like twenty miles away. Maybe tomorrow I will plan on taking a trip over there. Not tonight it is probably too late and Sunday most places close early anyways.

I definetely prefer Popeye's to KFC. Pretty much any chicken place besides KFC. KFC is just pretty terrible most times. Maybe it is better in other places but the one around here is blah.

Not worth the 2.5 mi drive.  The last two times I got chicken there, the oil had been heated past the smoke point, so everything tasted burnt.

Maybe when they open the new one nearer to me.

As a dude who grew up eating hot food all his life, I no longer desire to have my food hurt me.  At one time it was a common thing but now I just don;t see the point.

But if I can get my hands on some atomic fire balls....I'll still eat those.

Are you referring to the candy, or is this something else?

What else is there besides the candy?

I think some restaurant was using that name on Diners, Drive-In's & Dives for pepper infused hushpuppies or some other appetizer.

Huh....  Could be.  I've watched just about every Triple-D there is and I honestly can't say you're wrong.

If I had a Popeye's near me I'd already be eating them right now

There is one only a few blocks from me that opened up shortly before the pandemic so I've been a few times this year.

I'm drunk RN and I want spicy wings. I live in a red state hick area where we more or less ignored it the whole time

The Popeye's in town just opened.  Not sure my guts can handle it right about now since I've had so little greasy food the last 6-7 months.

They probably couldn't. if you've been eating healthy, keep it up.

One of my six wings was slighly burnt.

If you're used to spicy food, I don't think these would hurt.

I forgot that those exist.

That sucks, although I'm sure it has it's perks as well.

I also have Buffalo Wild Wings and Chicken n' Spice near me.

Well... it's not so much healthy as just not greasy.  Fried food doesn't do to well on takeout.

I've never been to a fast food joint that actually had super spicy food.

Yeah none of the stuff on the menu even makes it there without a lot of market testing and trials. I think the general public just is not interested in super spicey food.

Yeah, I was talking about the candy.

Oh, and that verde sauce from the taco truck....It's pretty hot, but it's almost necessary due to it's unique flavor...Not sure what's in theirs that sets it apart.
