1938 Packard
By now, you all know about the merit point system where I work. Back when I was in Catholic school, the merit point system was not worth pursuing. Gain St. Dominic Savio tickets by studying and memorizing Biblical verses and when you have enough tickets, you win a Bible. I don't need to own a Bible. They should have offered a color TV. I might have become a Biblical scholar, chasing that.
scoobdog
Yes, we know all about that crap that gets raffled off at your work. Edited November 21, 2019 by scoobdog
PhilosipherStoned
So... Oh ok I get it I had to mentally translate that to comprehend it. So what you're saying is you love that merit system and don't understand why catholic schools don't raffle off more tvs. That's understandable. I mean if the upper echelon of those religous entities didn't need their private jets to spread the word of god little jimmy might be able to get a free TV for reciting 1 Corinthians in entirety from memory. scoobdog
Just imagine what could have been achieved if Packard's school offered straight razors for tickets. No neckbeard for that clean-cut Danny Boy.

It's good all it took was a point system for staff retention. Not good for you or anyone else there, but good for the casino.

You mean the same benefits and retirement plan offered by hundreds of companies? I make more than you and probably have better benefits and I'm still looking for new work because this job is shit. I dont know how you keep the rich janitor mentality when you don't even drive a rusted out '87 Mercedes you're "fixing up."

Regular check ups are free but they bring people to work to do them for insurance purposes. So i don't even need to bother making the time for my insurance check up, i just sign up for the appointment and go to work like a normal day, only I spend 20 minutes of it with an RN or whoever is qualified to do that crap. Game dealers where I work are not in my union. Up to $200 per month gets taken out of their paychecks to cover their part of the insurance premiums. I pay nothing for premiums and there's no mandate for health coaching such as what the dealers go through.

So.... instead of them actually saying on your paycheck that your premium is "taken" out, you just get paid practically nothing and they send you to a guy who's office is behind a bowling alley.
