Why are these clothes racks set up as swastikas?

Gotta disagree.

Rack looks like it can hold 80-maybe-100 pieces but it would be really tight.

I can fit 200 easy on a circle rack with the exact same footprint.

The recommended amount for a circular rack is 144 units, unless you want your product thrown on the floor because the customer can't put it back.

You don't use circular racks for seasonal fashion product, because it has a short sales life, usually around 8 weeks before you need to start marking it down.  The racks in question are used for those items.  If the racks were set up like a plus sign, you'd only be able to get product on two arms, that's why the rack is set up as it is.

I wonder about people that rush to shop at liquidation sales.  There was a couch I wanted to get when I worked at Wards, but at $899 it was too expensive.  After Wards closed, I went to the liquidation sale at one of the stores & found out that the liquidator had marked the price up to the MSRP ($1299), then reduced it 20% so it was "ONLY $1039!!!".  I walked out, but not before noticing the traffic within the store of people falling all over themselves to grab up these "bargain prices".  These were the shoppers that wouldn't shop at Wards, spending more than if they had shopped there in the first place.

I was not expecting this kind of depth.
