PLEASE do something about that trollfucker.

Finaal can actually fight and use his powers in useful ways?

Nice, using threads to alter Asta's movements.  Love these combo and team attacks.  Need more of this in shonen, and anime, period.  Get tired of 1 v 1s.

glad, again, to see a woman taking center stage as a powerful combatant. also, coward guy's need to cry into her bosom really spoke to me.

their combo moves were quite nice as well

After all the shit people talked about this show it's great to see it escape the shonen trappings in multiple ways and blow Naruto out of the water, among other series.  Intentional semi-parody or not, this show is great in its own right.

Darn right! How in the hell did it somehow become one of Toonami's better shows?

Rating: "B+". Yami's lack of participation does somehow make the intense stakes of this showdown seem somewhat lessened, but it's not like we haven't seen such things from the likes of Dragon Ball Super!

I'm glad some of the ladies in this series actually make themselves useful. It's not quite as awesome as AOT, but they still have some CMOAs, like Vanessa's before the break.

It's doing a better job than Shonen Saint My Hero Academia...

it's certainly gotten better, but saying it blows Naruto out of the water is a bit of a stretch, imho.

a this point in its own story, even with its inability to portray female combat ability as comparable to male combat ability, Naruto was still pretty damn amazing. honestly, i think it was full steam greatness up until the end of the Hidan/Kakuzu arc and really only started dying around the time Itachi died and Pain attacked the Leaf (unless of course, you count the anime filler hell)

not really the first time she ever used her power she was engulfed in a mile wide water ball

yeah, but that was shield magic, right? shonen doesn't often hold back when giving its girls terrific defensive abilities or healing abilities or sensing abilities. but a combat move that outpaces everything her male counterparts have done. we didn't get any inkling that she was going to get something like that. though i suppose i was handwaving the level of power that she has. the captain said he always new and i guess, in truth, they ave slowly been building to her being inherently talented (damn nobles) despite her lack of control.

I dunno, for me, the writing was on the wall when Sasuke wasn't rescued after one arc and it became apparent that one of the end goals of the series would be rescuing that little shit.  What's more, Naruto and Sasuke's relationship doesn't even come off like Kishimoto wants it to.   They are supposed to be BEST FRIENDS, and the show and characters tell us this several times, but there's like a whole three actual friendship moments, and their relationship comes off more like co-workers who were on friendly terms, and Naruto loses his shit because Sasuke gets a job somewhere else.  It would actually make more sense if they were gay.  Also the fact that Sasuke was an asshole and they were mostly just little shits to each other, it doesn't make me sympathize with Sasuke, much less Naruto and Sakura wanting to "save" him.  Sasuke has done more than enough that should have gotten him hunted down and killed or captured a long time ago.  So, we're supposed to agree with Naruto and Sakura, and think eveyone else is wrong, but it comes off the opposite and Naruto and Sakura come off as crazy and delusional.  And the whole Itachi retcon thing was a just a joke.  Now, there have still been good arcs like the stuff you mentioned, but the backbone of the show being RESCUE SASUKE, is just... it's bad.  Finally, upon re-watching "the good part", Part 1, it's not even as good as I remember.

I can actually get behind Asta and his goals.  Within the first few episodes, Asta and Yuno was already a better friendship than Naruto and Sasuke.  Yuno is actually likable and not an asshole.  The women being able to actually do things is certainly a plus.  I have enjoyed the storylines and how they have gone outside of the usual formula, with Vetto, a henchman, stronger than Licht, and Licht defeated first, plus all the team and combo attacks.  It's not often seen so I appreciate it.

We've seen the whole show how she has difficulty controlling her magic and aiming her attack moves.  We learn that she can aim just fine, but that she is subconsciously missing on purpose because she doesn't want to hurt people.  She can't use her power correctly because she holds it back instead of just letting it flow.  A giant display of power like that generally means there is something in store in the future, even if defensive.  Think about Gohan.  And I wouldn't call that ball entirely defensive, either.  Point is, Noelle always had a lot of power, but just didn't know how to use it properly.  We learned she has no attack spells, so I guess just hurling those balls doesn't count as actual spells?  It's not clear.  But yeah, now she does have attack spells, and they're badass.
