Bouvre Posted September 17, 2018 Posted September 17, 2018 (edited) It was me, the cashier, and a middle aged man sporting a mullet shaved on the sides. I beelined for the energy drink fridge, grabbed my drink. By the time I returned to the counter, Mullet was gone, but as I was cashing out, I noticed a weed dispensary pre-roll. I picked it up and showed it to the clerk, whose eyes went wide at the prize. "Rad!" he said. He opened the container and peeked inside. His face fell to something half disappointed, half concerned. "This is meth" He pulled out two crystals sealed in a small bag. The two of us stood awkwardly. His first customer was a methhead who was sure to storm back in for his stash, and I had to go to work. Unsure what to do, I slowly moved toward the door, wishing his day be even more interesting than this particular incident, and to maybe call the cops and wash his hands. Not so much the specific moment in a convenience store Some folks think I'm a jerk because I have a problem with the over abundance of meth usage in my county. I would like to see them get the help they need, but they have to be apprehended first and charges pressed against them, before they will get the help they need. They more than likely won't go for the help on their own accord. I feel sorry for those folks, because I have seen what it does to people first hand. Unfortunately, the only way here, anyways, to make them go to rehab, is to make rehab part of their sentence.
