KimopoBotar
I drive from recycling center to recycling center dropping off supplies and basically making sure they're not fucking up too badly. I do checklists for every site for a broad check up, and safety audits for randomly chosen sites. I also do cash audits to make sure they're not pocketing the money at our cash pay out sites. Usually hit about 5 sites a day. The worst part is we have to collect copies for all our vouchers at every site and save them for five years in case cal recycle wants to audit us. Going through and making sure every voucher is there is a huge pain in the ass. Edited September 18, 2018 by KimopoBotar

They tend not to understand regulations at recycling centers and can be really shitty when not getting their way. I'm not sure if a pharmacy would be better or worse. You're not doing a "trash" job so there's probably more respect. You're also not alone so that must help. But you have way more regulations, and you have insurance on top of that. I'm sure you've got to deal with upset people a lot. look at it this way.... if a guy comes in for his ...I dunno....Crestor....and it’s not done...or....doctor never called it in....it’s not a big deal....I mean it’s fucking Crestor....shit we’ll lone ya a few if you’re truly out....and those people are typically very understanding.... let switch this to....i actually have a RL experience...woman comes In to pick up a c2 called cotempla for her kid....fairly new...not something I have readily available...controls take 3 days to arrive when ordered...I inform the mother...she IMMEDIATELY....become frantic...”my son has to go to school, I need this medication! I need it today, no I need it now. What am I supposed to do? How is it you’re a pharmacy and you don’t have drugs?” and i calmly explain to her that we order based on clientele...it’s not something we usually get requests for, therefore we don’t buy every drug available on the market in the hopes someone needs it and I can sell it before it goes bad. And this one I think cost us about $800 per box...I also tell her that I can call around to other stores to find it...but the prescription was electronicly sent...and with this level of drug it has to be filled where it was sent...it’s against state regulation to transfer c2s. So when I find it she has to have her doctor cancel mine and send it there... she...FLIPS THE FUCK OUT....screaming and yelling about how she’s not gonna drive all over for it, she should have just had it sent to a competitor...blah blah we’re incompetent.... Or...like today...I got a phone call...for another lower level control....for...I think a c4...anyways...his insurance wanted a prior authorization or...proof of medical necessity before they paid out...doctor fills it out...sent it to the insurance like he’s supposed to....but he filled it out wrong...indicating that the pt was getting 90 days...when he was only getting 30...so when I tried to bill...insurance says no...I want 90 days worth...he ain’t got it... i got my ass chewed out...for something I had ZERO to do with....I didn’t want medical necessity....your insurance did....doctor filled it out wrong... NONE OF THAT HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH ME.....WHY ARE YOU PISSED AT ME?!....
K_N
Mostly evaluate software written by other people for HIPAA, PCI-DSS and NatSec compliance standards. Occasionally write additions to existing software that need to follow these standards. Once or twice a month I spend all day evaluating update packages for existing software packages and installing them or recommending they be skipped as necessary. Pretty boring stuff for the most part, but I can't fuck up or it's bad for a lot of people.
Lasty
I make music, smoke weed and kick it with my homies on the streets of Portland. Some cray folks out here too and the embrace of this place is harsh for the houseless, but for those who call it home, nothing else will do. Sometimes I have to chew people out or pull out my phone and record to quash some nonsense and there's always garbage to clean. I'm there for my friends when they're down and I do my best to hear their criticisms. I'm your friendly neighborhood pennyless guitar playing good samaritan. ^__^
