As for WHY, maybe as an ironic counterweight to Asta, who speaks so loudly you can't help BUT hear him? Or maybe to give those of us who typically watch with captions a little treat?? He's either meant to be heard and understood, or he's not. Make up your mind, Black Clover and closed caption people! I need to check the manga to see how he's handled. And you may be right about him being a counter to Asta. I'm just wondering when he'll be developed and hopefully we'll be able to hear him better then! There must be a method to this madness!
