Here's the cover of next week's Shonen Jump

Recommended Posts

Luffy's no longer part of Toonami, and who the hell is Hiel? Either way, there are 4 out of the 11 shows currently on Toonami represented on that cover.

Really, all the shows represented on that cover can either be found 10:30-11:30, from 1:30-2:30, or they're not on the block. JoJo and Hunter x Hunter are also Jump, of course. So that means right now the block is over half Jump, but it's not as bad as it was a year and a half ago when the ONLY non-Jump series was Gundam Unicorn. Granted, then it was just 8 shows, but that was still oversaturation.

...Do you not know Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho?

Also, that little Burn The Witch One Shot is from Tite Kubo. You know, Bleach and stuff which was also part of Toonami.

I didn't know Kubo had a one shot coming out!  Thanks for that.

Past Toonami is still Toonami.

Why does Goku have Luffy's face?  That's horrifying.

That there's the reason I made this thread.

You know, about the faces and such, it looks like the pairings might have been drawn by a single artist respectively. Oda drew Luffy and Goku, MHA's creator drew Naruto and Deku. Black Clover's creator drew Asta and Hiei...I think...

Yes, what was Oda thinking there?

I dunno I guess he just wanted to confirm that Luffy's face is basically supposed to be identical to Goku's?

but Goku with cold dead expressionless Luffy eyes is the stuff of nightmares

Well hiei from yu yu  hakusho is actually on the cover of recent shone n jump magazine so props to that even though his face looks kinda off

And goku's face there.that needs to be edited too

I think it's cause they were drawn the mangaka belonging to their picture partner so Black Clover's mangaka drew Hiei so he was probably trying to mimic the style. Unlike Oda who was like "naw I'm just gonna draw it my way."

But even "happy" Goku doesn't look like that.

Naruto looked different.  Thought it was Boruto at first.  He looks younger than he should for that outfit.  Hiei didn't look that different to me.

So, about that Burn the Witch one shot.

I read it and, well...

  Reveal hidden contents

It takes place within the Bleach universe.

There is what is called the Soul Society West Branch.

guess he's decided to play it safe by doing what Hiro Mashima Keeps doing....which is just remaking his previous series with slightly redesigned and renamed main characters

Didn't realize it was out already.

I've theorized that before.  It was stated that Squad 1 Lt. Chojiro Sasakibe served in England for a time, which greatly inspired his lifestyle, fashion and demeanor, etc.  Given how Japanese Soul Society is, it made me think there must be other divisions across the world?

Mashima, hardest working guy in the industry.

I presume these are the main characters?  The guy has kind of a bland design and a face just like Natsu.  The girl looks a lot like Lucy, but with slightly different face, and Happy is literally in it?  At least from what I read of the premise, it's sci-fi and not fantasy this time?
