Rumb0 Posted January 22, 2017 Author Posted January 22, 2017 Read the manga, and read the last volume. There is definitely enough content to warrant a second season. The finale disappointed me as Urabe and Tsubaki were never shown kissing, but can't say I was surprised as subtlety is the series' strong point. Hopefully the author will make an extra volume or even an Ova that shows life after high-school for them. Quote
BUU8800 Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I remember remarking on the old boards when the series ended that I was okay with no kiss because I read one of the author's driving forces behind writing the series was he felt younger kids were getting too deep into physical relationships too early in life. It certainly fit as an ending in context to what came to that point. The anime will never get a sequel, which is unfortunate, but it did at least end in a very similar manner to the manga all things considered relationship wise. Plus it spared us the idol arc, the only section of the manga I didn't really enjoy. Quote

In all fairness/truth I don't entirely remember what I disliked about it anymore, only that it definitely bugged the crap outta me for SOME reason as I was reading it. Been too long since I read the series too. The English releases are omnibuses iirc. Quote

HardcoreHunter Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Somewhat, but I was more getting at how he was first introduced to his spit fetish. As the series went it was too many episodes that were practically the same thing. Nervous inner monologue about feelings, inner monologue about the girl, attempt to talk with the girl but acts nervous, school ends and he tries talking with her again, she interrupts him with finger spit, insecure inner monologue, self assuring monologue. For a short anime it spent a few too many episodes in that format. I know some people like that kinda format, somewhat like how clannad had 6 episodes of just watching the guy do routine. For me I can't get into it I guess unless there are some action, drama, or comedy elements thrown in. Quote
