Hornshire Posted January 23, 2018 Posted January 23, 2018 We were surprisingly unproductive. Not gonna lie, We're somewhat proud that We're not nearly as reliant on technology to provide distractions as We previously thought.
Hornshire Posted January 23, 2018 Author Posted January 23, 2018 Not in Our office. Maybe down the hall, but We don't pay that much attention to say one way or the other.

Neko Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 Shit man...I'm at work now. Don't hardly do shit except sit on my butt and help a few residents.

We got it when We were fifteen, so We're about in the same boat. And Our house was like the last one within five counties to be connected. We forget that sometimes, too. So really, it shouldn't have been all that surprising, but it's just not something We have to think about usually.

I didn't have any stable access whatsoever to computers let alone this new thing called 'internet' until college. We are talking BBS level stuff at best too. I still vaguely miss all the 'alt.whatever.yourmom.shitpost' stuff where if you really wanted to express an opinion in pictures, you had to be an ASCII art god. Internet has made me more social. Mainly because when I'm done with all you idiots, I can turn off the computer. And having internet has also made it so much more easier to find new things to learn without having to bug a librarian over and over and over again for material that they either don't have or don't want to get.

Unfortunately, when our internet goes down, so do our phones, email and remote access. So, internet down days are almost guaranteed to be completely unproductive, which only makes the lack of internet fun time even worse.
