Owning a car is pretty overrated when you think about it

Especially now that so many cops run license plates, when they wouldn't do it that frequently in the past. So now you can't get away as easily with driving away without auto insurance, which is overpriced and thus a scam, and you still have the burden of having a cop on your ass every once in a while, which means he can just lie and pull you over for anything and write you a ticket, and then there's the issue of gas expenses too. Yeah, owning a car isn't what it used to be, unless you live in Montana, where there's no cops on the road. So I'm actually thinking it's wiser to just stack your $$$ and take a Lyft or Uber if the distance or time isn't convenient for public transportation, and I'm not even trying to justify my own situation, I just think it actually makes a ton of sense. And dating isn't even a problem because then you can just split the Uber with your date. Also, if you date people who live in the city, you aren't even expected to have a car, so everything works out. I'm not turning myself in, and I'm in no hurry to get my license back, which can't even happen until I pay the fines, lost count of how many of them I have. I'm out, time to get some more beer, eat my Chef Boyardee, and get on Virtual Cabin 2.0 since I apparently missed something cool about it earlier.

I'm gonna get into the habit of splitting the bill too. It's just the way it's gotta be if they're gonna have any chance of getting me to take my fancy button down and designer jeans off.

Like Hell.  I don't have a car right now, and it sucks ass.

The cops have cameras on their cars that read your plate automatically, check the status of your insurance and the registration, all in seconds.

Nobody really owns a car in NJ.  Effectively, they are just renting the use of cars from the insurance companies.  Some of them are paying more for insurance than for housing.
