mochi
Classic Dragonball , which ran in the 1980's had animation like this whereas Dragonball Super, which airs NOW, is lucky if it manages this quality I hate to be one of those anime fans but I cannot deny that anime, on average, looked a lot better in the 80's
PokeNirvash
Funny enough, that Super GIF is considered one of the show's LOW points in animation quality.
CaptainStarwind
I definitely think that GIF looks better than anything in Super. I'm also definitely biased in saying that, because I prefer anything that was hand-drawn and inked over digital ink and paint. Thus, pretty much anything produced in the 80s and 90s looks better to me.
ben0119
Shows can still have good art and animation these days, but modern day Toei is notorious for being cheap and lazy, and other studios just suck. Daos
Yeah compare Toei to White Fox. Toei just specializes in mass produced poorly animated crap.

Gyaos
The second one looks like a flash animation. Also, nice reminder with the first image...when Piccolo's blood was red instead of purple. Edited December 29, 2017 by Gyaos
Top Gun
Kind of an odd scene to choose when Beerus moving like that is an intentional visual gag.

Not everything alien needs to have different colored blood. Red would work.

Though, Piccolo and Kami were speaking some unknown language at the tournament. Could have been foreshadowing for the upcoming alien reveal during the Saiyan Saga. Goku was based on the character from Journey to the West, and basically a were-ape, one of many unusual but not alien creatures of the Dragon Ball world. Also you barely see any of the cartoon animal characters in Z, with the exception of the dog president.
