The thing is, the underwhelming person who is secretly uber strong is a somewhat common trope, but Monaka is just straight up a loser.

Pan and Trunks got some screen time but the show ultimately ended up focusing on Goku instead of the next generation. *sigh* That show had no excuse given the time skip. This one won't either if it ever does a time skip, which I hope it does.
