just woke up from this sleep-paralysis like dream

this is gonna sound lame, but i was gonna write it down so i wouldnt forget it, anyway.

at the end of the dream i was staring at a red demon thing with anthromorphic/cartoony eyes but i was at a distance from it, despite this my vision made it so he looked much closer than it was. i was shaking a lot and got the kind of goosebumps that your whole body gets, but  very intense. i had a weird feeling, like i was determined and angry at the thought of this thing scaring me, so i wouldn't budge and didnt think/want to look away. and felt like i couldnt anyway. i felt that i was gonna wake up soon anyway at this point. this part didn't feel like a dream at all, i almost never in a dream consciensly think that im about to wake up. and it's been forever since the last time. but yeah, this part didnt feel like a dream at all. it felt a little different than that. almost like i knew i was sleeping and this was just a projection i was in or something.

i almost never dream about paranormal stuff, but one of the things i remember was this haunted box type of thing granting wishes? i think. and helping this girl who i guess was drowing raise her to the surface.

the town this took place in felt like a middle of nowhere midwest type of place, with landmarks, shopping centers and things like that, but still keeping this weird 50's type of odd vibe.  like it felt very alone and empty.

i dont focus on any spirits. i asked God to clear them from my vision and i havent seen any blantant spooky shit yet. stuff has happened but not in a while. like something was hanging around when i first moved here. i respond by not thinking about it too strongly and i dont watch horror movies that involve demons in my house. i watch them when im in a hotel or at my cousins house lol

Happens to a lot of people.

Lots of reports of "the hat man" "hooded figure" "old hag".

These are all shadow people and they will try to suck your soul out of your body.

Idk I'm just kidding.

Maybe.

It is kind of peculiar that so many people report seeing the same apparitions though.

Maybe there's something to it...

Yes. Demons. Theres movies about them based on real life events. Watch them as an educational tool. Be wary. Stay in the light. Drop toxic people out of your life.

I've experienced sleep paralysis about seven times in my life. I know they aren't demons because by the fifth or sixth time, I figured out how to manipulate the hallucinations to a considerable degree. I once slipped into a state of lucid dreaming during an episode. That just proves to me they originate from the mind and not supernatural forces.

I HATE shadow people. I used to dream about them when I was little. They would come out of the closet in the back room of the house, grab me, and try to take me to the closet. I KNEW if I reached the closet, I would be transported somewhere where I would be tortured and killed. I remember trying to scream for my parents, but no sound came out. I would usually wake up as we were going into the closet.

They had no discernable features, they were solid black, darker than darkness itself, but they were thin. And completely silent.

I thought I had finally gotten over them, then The Twilight Zone (in the '80's) had an episode called "The Shadow Man". Son of a bitch.

I haven't dreamed of them in a long time, but I'm not scared of them any more, either.
