I had an Oxycodone for the first time in like 4 years...

Makes the 70 lb loads I often lift seem small.  I hope you didn't herniate a disk.

Well, when I moved the wood stove, it was under the flight of stairs and I moved it about 5 feet as well as turned it sideways to push it further under. I think I may have compressed something :(

However, after I took the Oxy I was able to actually move around and I took on the task of repainting my bar fridge, which thankfully was already outside and is fairly light. Bending over is a challenge though.

You need to take it easy, we are both getting older, what was fine 10 years ago may not be now. I should know, I couldn't move for like 2 days after I tilled the garden. I did the calculations on that, it was like 700 pounds of soil, seemed easy enough at the time but boy did I feel it the next day.

Get some rest, the work will get done when it gets done, you won't be able to do much if you break your back.

They gave me that stuff after my c section. Fuckin loved it. Was dumb and gave the rest to a meth head tho ugh

I had some for a while after my gallbladder was removed.  I can see why so many people like it, but I'd rather not be like Rush Limbaugh and use it all the time.  He used so much of it that it caused hearing loss.

I also used oxy's when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't like them, they gave me a headache and I was in a fog the entire time. Now the ketamine I was on when they were actually prying the things out of my head, that was fucking awesome. Probably best I never take that again, I seemed to like it too much.

10 years ago the same thing would have happened  -_'

The point is don't break yourself trying to fix the house.

That's why today I did lighter tasks.... sort of. I had two accidental naps which were an effect of being in severe pain.

Basically all the Oxy did was relieve most of the pain and make me really hyper. :D

i got really high off just one which was neat on one hand but on the other hand i was breastfeeding so i stopped taking it even tho the doctor didn't say anything about it

I get really hyper and a good buzz plus all pains fade away.. it's great.

But after they wear off I just crash :|

due to the longest, slowest back spasm I have ever had.

Maybe I shouldn't have moved a 400 pound wood stove last night after moving a large heavy piece of exercise equipment up a flight of stairs :|

For awhile, I was prescribed percocet but they took away from me seven months ago.  They give me tramadol instead, which fucking sucks. I have a fragmented patella, stressed MCL and stressed ACL, but I am "too young" for them to want to do surgery on me. During the two years that I was prescribed oxycodone I never took it out of dosage recommendation of my doctor and I never took it just to get high. I honestly needed/need it to function on a quality of life level,

Two months ago, I went to get a cortisone injection, surgeon said no, and the surgeon said I was suffering from "major crepitus"(arthritis) and did not want to contribute to joint deterioration by giving said injection. Tl;DR do not switch doctors and fuck insurance.

I basically consume 12-15 of your general over the counter NSAIDs, which is a near toxic dose, a day with my three tramadol. It doesn't even touch the peak level of pain. At this rate, I will likely come down with liver failure at the age of 45.

Isn't there certain laser surgeries for some of those issues though?

I can have microscopic surgery to remove the fragments and help with the tinnitus, but that could possibly cause more issues. Basically, they just want to wait until I need an entire knee replacement in 10-15 years. Seeing how the MRIs have not shown any soft tissues damage, and the arthritis is not reversible, two surgeons have told me that physical therapy is the answer.  I've been going to a gym for three times a week for two months. It seems to be more of a thing with the insurance company not giving the okay because there is not a meniscus or synovial problem.

Tramadol... I don't even know why that shit is considered an option.  One of my co-workers suffers from seizures and severe joint pain.  She's stuck in that conundrum of not qualifying for disability, just because she works.  They had been giving her percs for the pain over the past ten years.  She was functional.  They switched her to Tramadol and now, she's absent more than she's working because the pain has worsened tremendously.  Either give this lady her percs or put her on disability.

It's considered an option because SNRIs are effective pain reducers when paired with things like diclofenac or meloxicam. The only issue is that it is only decent at dealing with moderate pain levels. Seeing how not everyone reacts to medications the same way, and a SNRI does not have the same hyperactivity as an opiate, you run into problems. That.... and well... regulations kind of push tramadol out more.

Edit: This is what happens whenever you walk away from writing a post. Although, you get the idea.

I feel like if I move my right knee less, it hurts more and swells up a little. I can say I kinda feel your pain but I am unsure on how much worse yours is :( Mine got crushed at 45mph on a streetbike accident, and then I was runing full speed and blew my kneecap out of place and it popped back in... :|
