So sick and so tired lately. Literally. To top it off, my Grandma and I got food poisoning Monday to add to the fun. Tamales from small local place we won't be going to again a long with Wendy's chili we won't be ever eating again. Test results from a few weeks ago showed some form of e. coli in my system but my primary care physician said he couldn't treat it because if it wasn't serious, giving me antibiotics could make me worse. So I have to wait til September 14th to see my gastroenterologist. I guess if it was more serious the gastroenterologist would have just told me to go to the hospital? He told me to take Immodium once daily, along with the IBS medication constantly and to start up Metamucil after I get over this. My doctor's orders for difficulty staying asleep - Don't watch TV or use devices with screens near bed time. He said it messes with your circadian rhythm and makes your body think is day time due to all the light entering your eyes. HA! He said none of my meds should be the issue. Weird though because I have been a TV watching, game playing, net surfing night owl all my life (at least since I have been taking seroquel for sleep and manic side of bipolar disorder) and never had such trouble sleeping a full 8 hours until off and on the past few months! I took an hour and a half or so nap before this but I will still be lucky to make it through the whole block. Also while I had a good time exploring the open air grounds of a railroad museum today, we had the most disappointing Chinese food I ever had today! We ate it at an abandoned Chick-Fil-A outdoors dining area, across the street from its current location. I've never seen such a fast food building setup from anyone, much less Chick-Fil-A. Not a joke. All that money and trouble spent for such bad food. The best of it, the wonton in the wonton soup was just a bunch of dough wrapped up with nothing inside it! I hope we don't get sick from that too!

Eeeehh it depends on the anime dude. Many not only do far better for women, LGBT, minorities etc than other anime, but also Western entertainment and entertainment in general. I love how the women are in Black Clover. Noelle's growth and progression has been done especially well, and some very satisfying moments and fights for her. The show has a very clear anti-classist, anti-racism, anti-discrimination, general don't be an asshole message. It drills the point home by reversing positions and making Yami a rare foreigner and only Japanese guy in the kingdom who is treated with disdain. The Wizard King wants everyone to be treated equally. Say what you will about Kubo, but he does better for women, and representation in general, than many mangakas. Chad, Tosen, Yoruichi and others were drawn well and were cool characters with good stories. Chad's Fullbring item that was precious to him was his Mexican heritage. I like how the women in general are used. And people will see more in the new anime. Sailor Moon and Ranma 1/2 are heralded as examples of how progressive anime can be. Inuyasha himself is half demon, half-human, and is treated like shit by demons and humans alike, and we know how mixed race people are treated in Japan. There are many other examples.

Hey, mark that! Oh yeah I forgot to mention that. The new SAO episodes have been mostly good to me, but there was one scene that was NOT needed. I didn't look to see if there was a big stir over it. Eh Officer Black is fine. Remember he was actually competent whereas Commander Red was an idiot.

I thought that Batman got a wide and stocky, sort of strongman physique, due to his age? But no his physique shape didn't just change. He is actually HUGE now. Well the EMP took out everything electrical and electronic in the continental U.S. right? But there should still be assets in Hawaii and Alaska, and bases across the world, unless that got EMP'd too hahaha. But surely there were some secret installations as well? Also weren't some things built to be shielded and isolated in the event of the EMP that comes with the nukes? Surviving the blast is all well and good but if the tech doesn't work you can't retaliate. I'm going to look into this more later but I swear that must have been taken into account.

Haha Daos summed things up pretty well. I think Dark Knight Returns isn't meant to be completely serious and make sense? It is still a good and fun watch though even for how nonsensical some of it is. Still should have explained the mutants in the actual story. But toxic waste seems better than gene splicing. It is weird because there are specific characters Kishimoto would show over and over like Gaara's fangirls and those 2 jounin guys, and think another 2 jounin guys, you keep seeing the same "extras" over and over so you think they might get featured and expounded on at some point but sometimes it never happens (or maybe it will for some eventually, I don't know.) At least one of those jounin duos got to fight those 2 Akatsuki guys. Which I guess is why their defeat at the hands of the Sound Four was off-screened. It preserved the mystery and surprise of everyone's abilities. If it was the same 2 guys lol. For this girl who knows if she would have ever gotten this featuring in the canon heh. It is a pet peeve of mine of when shows do this. I keep seeing the same characters over and over instead of ninja #6958 who is never seen again, it naturally makes me curious and want to know what their deal is. Especially if they look or seem interesting. So I hope for episodes like Io got here. But of course that doesn't always happen, which annoys me lol.
