I think they wanted to rip the bandaid off lol. Seriously though, I think it's a pretty good finale, these episodes. The fight between Bercouli and Vecta is really good and moving.

I can't believe Demarco didn't edit that! And I had been wondering what the Alicization director meant by following in the footsteps of the director from the first 2 seasons, but also setting himself apart. So far, I can tell no difference, except for 2 things. The awkward fan service has been removed. Heck, when that Sheyta girl had her armor damaged the pugilist guy remarked she looked like a warrior. It was tastefully done! But, the rape scenes are more gratuitous and graphic than ever!

Wow I am surprised Toonami didn't have the implied vaginal penetration edited out.

He's not human... he's clearly a pig man, Leafa. Well sentient, clearly, but still. Haha, fast way for Leafa to get to the emperor.

I wanted to get my mind off of the election BS going on, so I decided to watch some stuff. And in preparation for War of Underworld returning tonight. I finally watched Ordinal Scale. I'm not sure why I waited so long to watch it. It is a new story written by Reki set between SAO 2 and Alicization. I know it is supposed to be totally canon and they tried to tie it in to the main storyline, though obviously this was done after the fact. So it is canon to the anime at least I guess. But yeah, a kinda-sorta canon movie that is a mid-quel that doesn't advance the story, I didn't see a reason to rush to see it. But, I wish I had watched it sooner! Like I said, it is not needed to follow the main story, but it is a pretty good movie for the most part, I thought. And the fights and animation are excellent! It is funny because the movie is almost like an advertisement for a product that doesn't exist, at least not yet. I could see a company wanting to come out with something like this. People use the augmented reality device and play Ordinal Scale, and if they do well, they get points to buy snacks, or coupons, or tickets to shows. It becomes all encompassing. There were a lot of sweet Kirito and Asuna scenes which were nice to have. It was kind of weird at first to have the characters singing karaoke and Yuna performing in Japanese. There is a scene where Lisbeth starts up one of Yuna's songs and then Silica can't help but to start singing it, it was pretty adorable. I suppose they would have had to hire someone to do English covers and they didn't want to do that. Also for Silica and possibly other scenes, if the respective VAs can't sing, that is someone else to hire. Then the question of if the original performance should be preserved for both versions. I suppose it would be possible to make 3 versions. The original, English dub with Japanese songs, and English dub with English covers of the songs. Probably Aniplex did not want to go to this trouble. I also started watching Accel World for the first time. It is... odd. It's a creative idea, I'll give it that. Have to see how it all turns out. Just finished episode 5, and I am hooked so far. But gotta stop now to watch Toonami.

Inuyasha sequel Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon
ben0119 replied to HardcoreHunter's topic in Anime & Manga
Fair enough. I glad you and a lot of other fans were wrong. People had assumed because of the studios involved and locations, and union arcana etc that it was a longshot the old cast would return. And that the original character castings weren't announced simultaneously because of backlach over recast would overshadow the three leads' VAs, or Bang Zoom was hunting for soundalikes. You know what happens you assume.- 102 replies

Inuyasha sequel Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon
ben0119 replied to HardcoreHunter's topic in Anime & Manga
Boy, you sure wee fuckin' wrong! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2020-11-03/viz-announces-inuyasha-spinoff-anime-yashahime-new-returning-dub-cast/.165935 Wow, who would have thought David Kaye would come back? He doesn't even work in anime anymore. I thought for sure it would be the Final Act guy. Michael Daingerfield did a great job was almost indistinguishable from Kaye's voice. Looks like they are bringing back Kira Tozer as Kagome. Has Moneca Stori joined a cult or become a recluse or what? I also heard the theory back during Final Act that toxic subbie fans ran her off. Kira Tozer did not do the best job, she kept using that theatre style acting that really didn't work, and it was especially bad whenever she had to raise her voice. It has been a long time since then though, so hopefully she has improved. Glad to see everyone else back. Some of these people do little or no voice acting these days or moved on to different sorts of voice acting, out of anime. It is very cool to have them back. Looks like Aleks Le has played Zenitsu from Demon Slayer and Lilpilin (the pig general guy from SAO:A,) characters I have heard along with other Toonami viewers. He will have to put in a decidedly different performance as Hisui. Though he hasn't has a ton of lines and screen time yet, Hisui is way more chill than Zenitsu lmao. It looks like I haven't seen anything Alan Lee was in, so I'll have to see how he does, or maybe someone else can speak on that. In any case, this isn't any of the child actors that played Kohaku. They would be grown up by now of course and who knows if they would fit grown up Kohaku.- 102 replies

Oh, I hope so too. I didn't pay attention to the first season's turnaround so I didn't realize it was that quick. If that was quick and it's similar to the SAO seasons then yeah maybe we won't have to wait too long, which would be great.

More reddish brown or auburn. Emma's hair is red, maybe more light red or strawberry blonde. Either way, it fits her fiery personality, heh. Anyway, him, and the blonde girl with braids (bottom left) both had attention called to them for doing things to help in the escape plan. I think they used some of the girl's hair to help simulate the smell of a burning human, along with that meat. Don't remember what they said that boy did. But, because of this and their kind of stand-out-ish designs, makes me think they might play a bigger role in the next season.

Krone knows of a society of people of sorts outside of the plant and sister/mom/grandma system. Namely, a man who dropped a pen at that modern looking facility she was at, which is the pen she had kept and then gave to Norman. There are people who make the clothes, provide food, etc. All very mysterious. Maybe it is simply that these people are who support the plant system, and the demons can't be assed to do that sort of work lol. So yes for whatever reason maybe both of them are still alive and it has something to do with this other society of people.
