I kinda was, yes. Now I have to change the channel TWICE. Once for Hiatus and again for Bebop. I'm not a channel surfer, and I don't switch to something else during commercials, because I don't want to miss anything. I won't even watch a movie if it's already started, in the rare case I do watch a movie on TV these days, given the editing, and the fact I can get them elsewhere. I like to sit there and watch something beginning to end. They've stopped my ability to do that with Toonami. Oh and Jack is gone, lul. That's what they get for trying to run THAT into the ground. Oh, definitely. Well, not the worst time. The writing had been on the wall for a while, so it was nice of them to let One Piece stay long enough to finish out Thriller Bark. And 385 was a perfect send-off so I'm pretty sure it was intentional. Good to hear. Sounds like a plan!

Some retcons are easier to swallow than others. Goku being an alien. Gero working for the Red Ribbon Army... behind the scenes apparently, since he never actually appeared in the Red Ribbon Army Saga. It's fine. Probably helps the things that resulted from these retcons were good. But Tights existing? Come the fuck on. Not only is it unbelievable, given she hasn't appeared or been referenced at all until now, but she's totally pointless, and to top it off, has a crappy, boring character design.

We tried to get something like this going before but it never panned out. You might have noticed the pinned thread. I hadn't watched any for a long time since Toonami canceled it. I ended up binging 385-417 a little while ago though. Planning to watch more at some point. But I wouldn't mind re-watching with others, since I didn't get to discuss them yet. And yes, so far, these arcs are awesome!

Like the bits of lore we get at the beginning of episodes. Why the hell would the Space Forces and Pirates be working together? To pilot the ship Melfina has to be naked in a bacta tank. Works for me! She's crazy to get naked at a time like this.
