Which is probably not the best way to go about making your show. I mean, it's fine for something that doesn't matter, like that Amuro picture, but stuff like this? If you want to go to lengths to include connections and fan service, etc, for long time/hardcore fans, that's fine, but it should be stuff comes as a bonus for those people and you don't have to know it if you aren't as familiar with the universe, to get important things about the show.

They didn't show Char's face either for some stupid reason so if you didn't know who he was that part would be easy to miss too. I at least saw parts of the original series plus Char's Counterattack, but I don't remember this girl. That's a pretty unique character design too. So does Full Frontal know them or something? Because that's how it came across. Because I'm pretty sure Frontal was not in the original series. Hahahahahaaha wow.

This whole Newtypes having some divine rights to rule bullshit is dumb. Besides the whole fact of Newtypes in general being stupid (why would you get psychic powers from living in space?), it feels very artificial in the way it's obviously written in after the fact, based on previous Gundam mythos. How the hell would they be able to predict that Newtypes might come into existence?

You could say it's a race relations metaphor. Kaniki is biracial and being descriminated against by some people from both races. Or it's a gay metaphor and he's bisexual and being descriminated against by against by some gays and straights. OR MAYBE THE SHOW IS MAKING A GRAND STATEMENT ON EATING DISORDERS. All of the above is giving this show waaaaaaaay too much credit.

There's already too many undeveloped characters as it is.

I love how the show said Kaniki's parents are dead because it didn't feel like making their characters. Ah, the always never present anime parents. Devil Ape? Really? We have a cockatiel. Kaniki is a pushover. Hahaha the way Kaniki reacted to that. They found the whinest bitch VA they could. Did they do a casting call? He fits! Oh that's why we got that flashback. To show how Toka's once sweet and innocent brother has grown up to be super edgy, like everything else in this show. This show is so edgy. I'm on the edge of my seat! Edge of getting up off it!

This show realized Mado was one of the best things about the show, so they made a flashback after they killed him off. I am seriously surprised Mado died this fast though. So we're going to retroactively develop Amon's character huh? If you like that eye quit staring. They waited 8 minutes in to play the OP to trick us into thinking they wouldn't arrrggghhh! *smashes mute button* Sorry I'm not going to accept this guy as a wacky member of the group. Toka is right about him being a douchbag though. Uh, this bar girl is not a character. So Rize IS still alive inside Kaniki?

Of course there's not a hole. Holy hell, did that really just happen like that? BY THE WAY... Also, never would have pegged that guy as the Colossal Titan. He doesn't resemble that form, unlike the others. Who the hell is that guy anyway? He's been glorified set dressing until now. So they were sent to exterminate humanity, but had a change of heart. Where does that flashback of Reiner's friend getting eaten fit in, then?

Wait Historia is her first name, really? That's not... a name. This show's PLOT gets more complicated by the hour second. So they don't have enough people to man every part of the wall? Otherwise the hole (which probably doesn't exist) would have been reported.

Oh yeah 18 was really hot this episode.

Dabura is so awesome. Prepare to be disappointed, Goku. Vegeta is so mad at Gohan's underperformance. In addition to looking and being cool in general, Dabura has a neat moveset.

Why is Supreme Kai asking what's going when he was explaining the transportation before? You've been staggered for a while Supreme Kai. Makes sense that Gohan would slack off with his training, given his character - he fought to protect his family and friends, not for the fun of it, he was always a gentle soul - but still... Hercule is definitely getting humbled by 18 and it's hilarious and delighful to watch, but I always wished she whooped him here.

Still can't believe I never noticed that 18 used a Destructo Disc to chop Mighty Mask in half until now.
