For the record I did watch the new Jack, and will continue to. It was good, but I don't really intend to give in-depth/jokey responses regarding it like I do with the anime shows. This'll probably be the last I mention it until the finale. So with that out of the way... JoJo Caesar's flashback...that's fairly ominous. And he's fighting an invisible Wamu! Oh no! Not Mustache Guy! Wamu's air vs Caesar's bubbles takin' all bets! Damnit Caesar don't go in the house alone! It's Mustache Guy! Is he alive or...oh hey JoJo! Lisa Lisa! Nice to see ya. Well Caesar's got the badass grin down if nothing else. Visually this fight's a lot like if Kagura from Inuyasha fought Byakuya from Bleach. Oh hey, tiny light emitting Saturn bubbles! And...that's not good. Oh no that's not good. Damnit Caesar...well at least he got the nose ring. And crushed by a cross. Nothing religious about that I'm sure. As touching as JoJo and Lisa Lisa weeping at the end is Caesar's death still felt absurdly quick and easily preventable. Like Caesar suddenly remembered he had to die late last episode and began acting much more rashly than usual. But I dunno maybe that's just me. Either way he's gone, which sucks. Oh, and Mustache Guy, that sucks too I guess. Will we get a tag-team match next as promised? Gundam Damnit, Marida really got fucked over saving fatty after all. That's really all I cared about. That aside it was walkin' through the desert and drinkin' diner coffee: the episode. Hunter Oh hey! Leorio's back! And he's good at haggling! "Leorio did you learn Nen?" Tired so I'll be brief. Top 3 for me are still Kobayashi/Rakugo tied as #1 and Konosuba a solid #3. After that? Dunno. Maybe Urara. It's unassuming so it's very easy to overlook, but it does the cgdct stuff very well and is always good for a pickmeup. 3-gatsu's second cour is interesting. I got insulted on MAL for saying I preferred the first cour last week, but I do. I've sorely missed the sisters these last several episodes and Shimada's arc didn't do much for me. Still a solid show though absolutely. Twin Star and Rewrite are both grueling to watch/can't end fast enough.

And it nearly did! Until that end, but they're tied again. Tune in Wednesday to see if Kobayashi pulls ahead once more!

Oh for fuck's sake show you did NOT just pull that ending on me! Please tell me you did not just pull that ending on me! You know, I literally had tears of joy in my eyes and a big dumb grin on my face for the last 3 - 5 minutes of the episode before that ending. It was pretty damn near perfect! Konatsu pregnant with Yotaro's child, implied to begin doing rakugo in earnest, coming to peace with Yakumo and receiving his blessing, Yotaro finding some radio success with the continued intent of helping Konatsu do rakugo, Shin implied to be a worthy heir someday, etc....etc....etc....and then that! It was so freaking perfect that, even though I knew we had 12 episodes, for a bit I honestly thought I'd made a mistake, that there was only 10 episodes after all, and was thoroughly satisfied with that ending. Damnit show! I mean, I'll admit I did suspect once or twice Yakumo might be dead on that chair but each time he'd smile or say something to ensure me that wasn't the case...and then that! So IS he dead? Is our final 2 episodes just gonna be Yakumo in the land of the dead and possibly an epilogue? Gah! Don't leave me hanging like this show! Also, for a brief second I thought we were gonna go the route where this entire episode was one giant fantasy. That Yakumo really died in the rakugo hall, Yotaro failing to save him. Oh I was gonna be so pissed if that was true...but the burn around his eye and the patch lead me moreso to believe he probably died on that chair at the end, if he did die. Which still sucks mind you but at least it wouldn't throw out all the good stuff this episode had! Damnit, it's gonna be a long week and that preview was no help!
