  1. Just reread My Hero Academia Volume 6(Chapters 45 - 53) in print. When the anime begins again in a week or two I'll probably reread the next 2 or 3 chapters the anime's about to adapt just before each episode airs. Primarily for comparative purposes. I did the same as the first season was airing. Dragon Ball Super 22 We Never Learn 7 Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! 529 Hungry Marie 4
  2. 24 episodes, paced properly, should at least get us passed Stain. The real issue is...
  3. It's just Jump pushing to the extreme, I hope/assume. And even if it's split-cour we really, really need at least 24 episodes this time.
  4. New: My Hero Academia 7 Prison School Omnibus 6 World Trigger 14 Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches 12
  5. I was referring specifically to this manga as I'm current with Japan/own all the volumes currently available in the US. But that's cool, you'll definitely enjoy the ride to come...I think. :D :D
  6. Eh, he fits in with a talking crescent moon with arms well enough to me :D :D
  7. Are you anime only? You're in for quite the treat if so. Well...either way really! :D :D
  8. ....Japan hates you? :D :D :D :D :D
  9. I'm caught up, and the violence example I referenced was during the Dr. Love episodes silly! :D :D :D :D :D True, execution is what matters most.
  10. As a non-manga reader I'm definitely interested in seeing more developments.
  11. I'm watching it and your uncertainty is well deserved. As I planned to say in my final thoughts when it ends it's clearly meant for younger kids, but has a plethora of violent turns that undermine that. "Tonally jarring" was the term I found myself repeating over and over on the MAL episode discussion threads. Like, you'd get fart/smell jokes and crazy goofy kiddy alien designs one moment, and a humanoid character getting a large hole blown through her chest by her brainwashed friend with tons of blood the next. That kinda stuff happened fairly frequently too, although not so much in the most recent couple episodes.
  12. March Comes in Like a Lion gets Season 2. And Fall just continues to get more and more packed!
  13. Here we go, another promo: So I guess technically the recap episode next week marks the beginning of Season 2! MAL still lists the series as beginning April 1 though, so not sure how that's gonna go. But yeah, either way we're really close now!
  14. You were obviously more emotionally connected than I to that sendoff and their relationship. It was nice as I said, got a smile from me, but certainly no tears. Which is pretty much me just trying to say that episode 11 not having the same impact on me that 10 did definitely opened the door for Kobayashi to swoop in and be my number 1 of the season. Not to say it's a guarantee of course, neither is over juuuuust yet.
  15. Watamote 112 Yuna of Yuragi Manor 55

  18. Huh...well alright then. I guess they decided to play it straight. Yakumo has died and spends this episode catching up with Sukeroku and Miyokichi before moving on. It was certainly a fitting sendoff for him, and another strong episode, but it failed to reach the emotional heights of the previous episode for me. No tears flowed this time, though I did get choked up a couple times. It bothered me that Yotaro was the only one seemingly left out of seeing Yakumo's final performance so when he got the nod during it I smiled, and Matsuda rowing him away was a very nice touch. So yeah, again I'll say it was a very good episode, just...not the best, or even second best this season for me which feels kinda strange since it served as the central character's sendoff. I guess it's a microcosm of my general feelings regarding this series as a whole. Which I was gonna save until next week but guess I'll mention now. Basically my primary interest when starting this series was seeing if Konatsu would do rakugo. It was the original piece of the plot synopsis which grabbed my attention enough to give it a try. And while the series as a whole has undoubtedly been excellent and season one was important, I definitely enjoyed this second season more because it focused more on her, and Yotaro. It was Yakumo's connection to them and their stories that interested me more than the past with Sukeroku and Miyokichi. In the present in Konatsu's case, I admit she has overlap between the two. And it seems like this episode was Yakumo making peace and saying goodbye to the season one regulars, whereas the previous episode was him doing the same with this season's...even if I didn't know it at the time. So I guess it makes sense then that I connected much more powerfully with the previous episode's events over these. With all that said I am glad we have one final episode to check up on those Yakumo left behind in the world of the living. Seems we'll be getting quite the time skip too if the two in the preview are who I think they are.
