I was wondering how they'd handle Mr. Satan in this, since he's genuinely pretty damn funny in the original series(especially when we get to the Buu arc) and...yeah, that wasn't particularly good. It had some moments, but certainly not worth waiting 4 months for. The barrage of short "Cell vs" videos leading up to this were better. I think TFS works better riffing on the serious material. If/when they get to the Buu arc where Toriyama begins actively inserting early Dragon Ball-style comedy again I expect them to struggle. Mind you at their current pace that won't happen until mid-2018, but still. Speaking of, I noticed yesterday a post on the video criticizing them imo pretty fairly suddenly vanished after receiving a lot of likes and my reaction was disappointment. It's like...calm down fanboys, nothing is above criticism.

So they aren't officially streaming it anywhere, but I just took a look at the raw for the recap episode and it was literally all recap, no new material. There was a preview for next week's premiere after though. Looks like it's gonna be called "That's the Idea Ochako!" or something to that effect, which is the title of the 22nd chapter of the manga. So we'll be starting right where we left off. Well technically we start from the last few pages of Chapter 21, but still! I can't wait!

I attempted that show years ago but found it too boring. I may hafta try it again after this.

Oh wow, actual real-life sources...nice. Yeah, episode 10 definitely still hit me the hardest emotionally.

Welp, our finale has arrived at last. And, as expected, we've got a timeskip. 16 years. There were some surprises. Firstly....holy hell, Matsuda's still alive! 95 years old, my god man...good for you. And I gotta admit, his reflections near the end were actually what teared me up the most in this one. But I gotta get EyeOfPain[/member] thoughts. I'm very relieved to get confirmation that what really happened all those years ago remained a secret between them, a wise decision as far as I'm concerned. I can't say the same for bringing up the implications of Shin maybe being Yakumo's biological son. Eww...no show, just...no. That aside it was wonderful seeing everyone aged. Yotaro taking his place as the ninth Yakumo, Konatsu hers as the first female rakugo performer(though seeing her perform again woulda been nice), and their kids turning out so well. I loved Yotaro's scene with Shin, who clearly loves him deeply and considers him his father unquestioningly. And I'd say his daughter is definitely a daddy's girl. There were some nice nods to Yakumo such as his appearance in Shinigami, as well as a satisfying resolution to the fate of rakugo in general. This was pretty much as perfect a sendoff for these characters as I could have envisioned barring maybe 95 year old Yakumo being in a wheelchair besides Matsuda's. But that's debatable and his sendoff was handled excellently anyway. Anywho my final thoughts? Well as I explained last week I consider this season better than the first simply because it focused on the characters I was more interested in. The first of those two groups that the camera scrolled by near this episode's end. Was it the best show this season? Maybe...ask me again after Kobayashi finishes, but at this moment I'd say...yes. Either way there's really no doubt about it: Taken as a whole this 24 episode series is an anime masterpiece. 9/10

God I hope it is so...probably not.

I'd watch old, out of shape Undertaker beat up guys well into his 60s if I could, no matter how awful he looked. Hell, it'd be no worse than Ric Flair. Sadly...Roman... Also RIP JR's wife. Truly awful. Also, also, Shawn Michaels turned down a match with AJ at Mania...that woulda been awesome.

I'm flattered, but no.

Consistency in being a total asshole is something to be admired I suppose.
