i suppose this is what happens during a pandemic....communication becomes a bizarre hassle

even if they can do that....not much they can do if there's nothing for them to dub would be pointless for them to return to the studios when It's still TBA on when many anime's will resume production in japan

i was comparing them because it's just as unlikely for the NFL to play with fans this year as it is unlikely for funimation to return to how they normally operate not to mention Japan's Animation production process(funimation can't dub what doesn't exist yet)is a major thing to acknowledge as we have no idea when they'll be back up and running on stuff like black clover all we have are some people optimistic that shows like black clover will resume within a few months and before toonami has to put black clover reruns on the block

it won't last forever but it's very unlikely things will go back to normal this year...that's why we're constantly hearing about the NFL potentially playing without any fans in an empty stadium despite the fact The NFL Season is still 4 months away nobody is confident that things will be under control anytime soon so its foolish to think what's happening with funimation and toonami is just a very temporary setback when this could drag on for another year or more for all we know

let's just hope black clover doesn't have to go into reruns as I'm not even sure what they'd even do at that point...rerun from the start of the dark elves story or from the beginning of the series

i know everyone's in the same boat but not everyone will come out of this A-Okay i really doubt toonami can go 12-18 months on reruns(that's the estimate for a vaccine at this time and until a vaccine is made...officials advise against returning to work fully)

i do apologize for coming off extremely negative and mopey lately but there's been very little to be positive about this year it's all been "Hey guess what else is ruined because of covid-19?" or "here's how many people died from the virus today!" everything i enjoy has been affected greatly and it's easier said than done to just ignore all of that and stay positive when that just means coming off as oblivious and ignorant to the world around you i don't mean to anger or annoy anyone...I'm just at wits end and am always one step away from losing my mind everyday I'm not a troll I'm just someone...whose mentally worn out and exhausted from all of this i desperately seek anything to get my mind off that crap but as i said it's difficult when covid-19 affects them all and makes you come to terms with the fact that you can't just pretend it's not happening and go on as if nothings wrong

yeah there are more important things to be concerned with but there's very little we can do about those things in the long term....everything including toonami is operating under the assumption that things will be back to normal in the near future when we know that isn't the case....short term solutions are fine when we know they are short term but when they start to become long term solutions then it stops being fine and excuse me if i don't have much faith in the toonami viewers continuing to tune in for a line-up of reruns....this isn't a charity so i doubt many people will continue tuning in out of the goodness of they're hearts if there's nothing new for them

and what will? pretending everything's fine and that tonami's still doing great I'm sick and tired of people acting like my complaints are just made up and I'm just looking for any reason to cry and say "toonami's 2020 is confirmed horrible" when the truth is no matter how high and mighty you act....You'll kick this block to the curb if the rest of the year is reruns very few people here will stick around and anyone who tries to disagree is just lying

yeah so at this point maybe we should be prepared for the whole block being reruns by August or sooner with that in mind... i hope that isn't the case but with a reduced budget due to covid-19(plus paying for stuff that probably won't air this year now)it's very possible this will be the worst year for toonami in quite sometime

Yada Yada yeah but the more reruns that are on the block the less likely it is that people will keep tuning n that's the downside here and black clover is a show that has an uncertain future due to it's hiatus in japan which all depends on how they go about dealing with the virus if it's not back by august or september then i really don't know what to say....toonami has never aired black clover reruns before so who knows how many people will tune into those

did anyone else notice earlier when midnight was seen briefly talking to all might it said Villain: All For One Over All Might's head in the text that they usually use to quickly name drop people and the quirks they have

who said they had to get newly dubbed shows? there's a gigantic library of shows never aired on toonami with a fully finished dub that have been around for a couple years it doesn't have to be brand spanking new....at this point i think that's the only option toonami can take either go into someone's backlog to try and find something cheap or rely on reruns and marathons as for the hiatus it depends on how japan handles covid-19 in the coming months....no country will magically get better over night

where did he say "Still Expect New Shows" though? nowhere he said the budget was cut and that a free show was better than one they had to pay for if there was nothing to worry about then we wouldn't be starting off toonami with 3 reruns

i hate these dub names...defeats the purpose of jojo's musical references if the references can't even be made imagine if a show referenced elton john but couldn't and instead had to say "Felton Ron"

he said the budgets been cut significantly due to covid-19 losses....i doubt that translates to "Still Expect Many New Shows this year" and as for black clover the show's on hiatus for an unknown amount of time so even with funimation's dub eventually they'll catch up and have no more to dub...which will lead to toonami running out of episodes

IGN's main complaint was that it felt too much like classic SOR without much in the way of reinventing the series

I'm sad now...according to jason demarco they're budget has practically been depleted due to covid-19 at this point so expect the block to be nothing but reruns soon.... I'm not sure how black clover reruns will do in this spot honestly
