Where have I seen that shape before???

The only thing cool about VH1 was when they ran movies back in the 80's late at night (they were playing Kentucky Fried Movie one night). USA had "Up All Night" with Rhonda Shear toward the late 80s. CBS had Don Kirshner's Rock Concert & NBC had The Midnight Special (mostly hosted by Wolfman Jack). I remember reading a write-up on what was going on when Nugent was the main guest/host on The Midnight Special. He would not appear if Anne Murray or John Denver were hosts on the Special's shows preceding his or after his & he got to choose who would be on the show with him. One of the bands he picked was Cheap Trick - and Nugent apparently told Rick Nielsen (off camera) he should get a real guitar, like his own Gibson Birdland. The story went that while Nugent was playing on camera, Rick started flicking guitar picks at Ted (as he does to the audience while in concert).

Two types of dogs

Applied for a job in their corp office. The phone interviews seemed to go really well and then, crickets. Wound up with a charity just a few miles up the road from them. They get props for the donations they provide us.

Just 2 things - It's "neatsfoot oil", and while it comes in some very large sizes, you'll only need a small bottle. Also, make sure that the kid puts his hand in the glove before using the rubber bands but after the oil, to be sure that the glove feels comfortable in the position it is wrapped in. I made the mistake with one of my gloves of skipping how it felt & just oiled and wrapped it with the ball. It always felt like it didn't close properly for my hand.

They came at Eddie with a contract to only pay him for the games he did. The gist I was getting was that they would also determine what games those were, so if they decided they only wanted him to do 5 games, that's all he'd be paid for. I think he was looking for a bit more specificity. As for Kane & Toews, I can see Toews being traded before Kane. Both are up there, but Toews being a Captain would draw more attention. If Kane goes anywhere, I'm thinking it's to Buffalo (hometown).

They just got rid of Eddie Olczyk! The team is reverting back to the really bad days when they first got rid of Foley under $Bill. They lowballed Eddie on a contract & now he's off to the Kraken. As for Kane (& maybe Toews), they're going to hang on to them like they did Makita, when they pretty much traded away the rest of the team.
