dont know where my santa hat is. it lit up with lights. not in the xmas mood this year. could barely afford any present after losing my job in september *grumble*. madison doesnt seem to mind just getting a handful of presents so im not too depressed.

oh i do nurture her art! i bought her an easel when she was 4 and a painting she did ended up winning first place in an art contest against her whole school and was on display in the art gallery downtown (i had the painting framed). Her art teacher pushed her to draw things instead of tracing and i thought itd take her years to draw freehand but shes doing it now already at 8 years old. cant wait to see how awesome she'll be in 5 or 10 years.

i found a composition lined book of hers last night. stillme, the child drew something on every single page front and back. i had no idea she was drawing so much! so yeah, ill be buying these books for awhile lol

i saw ones with thick card like paper. didnt think shes at that level yet. the one i got is wrapped in plastic so i dont know how thick the paper is.

there was a sketch kit for $20 with pencils and 3 different kinds of sketch books but it had leather bound...no spirals...it would have been hard to draw in so i didnt get it. got the big black sketch book and this huge art set thingie with pencils and paint $18 after the coupon

its just a black spiral notebook with blank pages you can draw on. they dont sell them in like walmart....gotta go to a crafts store. i also got a paint set she asked for for $19 but these nice ladies behind me let me use their 40% off coupon
