  1. West coast always tests shit out before the east coast feels comfortable with it...
  2. How can you not like coffee? Are you even human?
  3. I'd still call it progress.
  4. It is the best thing I've ever put in my mouth.
  5. Seriously, you have to treat yourself.
  6. No. Allow me to sing you the song of my people
  7. Not everyone who suffers learns from it... and it's not about one upping anyone or anything like that. People-ing is not a competition. I was hoping to provide some context for a different frame of reference is all. ;P
  8. We're glad to have you. ^___^
  9. This cat... is adorable. Someone is feeding it to death, but it's adorable...
  10. You should try being homeless. If you want any kick-downs you gotta learn real quick to be jovial and magnanimous. When I give compliments, or when I'm playing music, I'm not worrying about what other people think of me, I'm thinking about how they feel about themselves because when you don't have much, it's easier to appreciate that kind of thing when it comes your way.
  11. I too enjoy coming back to things after hiatuses.
  12. What's the training like? How are they trying to orient your focus?
  13. I don't like feeding wild animals... they should be afraid of people... disrupts things.
  14. Ah. This is why we use quotes..,.
  15. September 25th, 1987 That's me playing banjo in my icon, do I look old to you? Granted I'm not exactly young except comparatively speaking, but you get the idea. Did you actually think I was old? What made you think that?
  16. Hmmm... I'd say your assessment of that potential motivation is fair enough, but death is a reality most people distance themselves from and suffer during more of the time they have left as a consequence. That is to say, death is a very significant part of our reality, and walking that line isn't necessarily a sign of total delusion. No doubt the guy has issues (and who doesn't) but he could see at least a part of what's going wrong with society; that people tend to placidly and complacently accept what authorities spoon feed them... It seems to me like the guy was shaken and is basically just glad to be alive, which is the best case scenario after the fact of having launched himself in a rocket he made.
  17. I got a vibe off that /thread like a working Mom heading out for the day after what was almost a really bad argument right in front of the kids...
  18. For the record, I'm not. I just heard about it, and posted one thread because I wanted to participate in a marginally pointless discussion about it instead of checking to see if there already was one only to read it over.
  19. Because it's... not borderline suicidal?
  20. New to me, so I decided to be annoying, you're welcome. Plausible. Source?
  21. Naw, man. I'm glad he lived through it and that he loves his cats and that he had the balls to actually launch himself after building the thing. I mean, compared to all that, for me at least, being a flat earther is just one of those "agree to disagree" things. I'd drink a beer with the guy.
