A few things from this episode. One is that it's implied here that Gon does not know Kite, while in the 1999 series, they made it clear that the two knew each other. In fact it was Kite that told Gon his daddy was alive. Also, in the 1999 series, Ging didn't really abandon Gon. Mito took his ass to court and won custody of the boy.

There is a chapter in Part 5 of Jojo that has a beatdown even more severe than this. It's really amazing.

I'm hoping for either Mob Psycho 100 and, though unlikely given it does not have a dub because Sentai, Made in Abyss.

Oof. Yeah, this was pretty damn boring. Usually I like to give a show a chance predicated on the fact that it will be either very good or an entertaining car wreck, but there is absolutely nothing about this show that sways me one way or the other.

If Made in Abyss ever makes it to Toonami, this will be like lolipops and sunshine.
