it is no joke. and you know how i love being outside, and on my feet all the time, doing stuff. it's not fun.

i'm sure i won't recognize it at all. used to run that entire base 1x month. and that field by the hangars every day. i want to say olny farms, used to grow cabbage out there. they'd grow a few crops, and harvest, then grow a crop and let it rot. jfc that smell. if you like kimchi, it was ok...but lordt! OH...and just a couple months ago, i read about a gunman at 'cook's corner', a bar that we frequented quite a bit. man...i miss you cali. but way WAY too $$ for me, these days. i left cali in '06, i was in esco. from '01-'06, close to s.d.

i'm surprised it took this long for *insert entity* to take them down. i was told there is already housing and costco, and other shops around the property. problem is, most of that land is poison. haven't seen it since 2005. the north hangar was supposedly haunted. story goes: there once was a ch-46 mechanic, that KNEW he could pilot a craft better, so..he did, and abrubtly crashed into the hangar. the south hangar was supposedly an entrance to the 'underground city' (vip fallout shelter) , the marine that crashed i do believe happened, and ther was a strange elevator style entrance, that was enclosed behind a metal door.... but you know...boots believe anything, and we had an obligation to pass those stories along, while telling said boot to go get 75 meters of flight line. XD

so, left foot is healing, but i have some numbness in both 2nd toes. that will eventually fade as i keep doing the excercises, the right foot needed a shot, the needle was 6 inches. doc said, as he sprayed the stuff, 'this will feel cold, and then you wil...and i didn't hear the rest because JAB!, i jumped, he said 'you moved' i said sorry, he said 'i said they'll be a little prick', as he shoved the needle into the side of my heel toward the bottom, and i said. THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID, as i gritted my teeth. foot feels great.

as i type this, my first duty station, is losing a historical landmark. the south hangar is going up in smoke. so many good times on that base. and all the tall tales, the urban legends and myths. semper fi, mcas tustin.

dead space. ps5 ooh, i really liked this one. i mean, sure i went from middle, to, easy, to, waaaaa, you big noob baby, BUT i played with only 1 weapon and melee. waiting for credits to finish to see what i got. 9/10, ONLY because my normal default mode of middle ground was way too hard for me.

no beans, and mid makes his with cut roast. i make some black beans, because i like them in my chili, as well as rice.

OH....and i'm in a size 14, headed to 12. so i'm staying here, i lost way more than i thought. i'm 5'8, so...i'm good with a little fluff.

got to evil mart and was OVERWHELMED in the makeup dept. i have an arm full of stuff, and after i was looking at it, i realized that this was WAY too much stuff, and i was rounding the corner at 200$. so....i politely put everything back, while fighting a mild panic attack. i don't need to go THAT strong. i dont' even have a strong makeup game normally. SO..... after i collected my thoughts, and talked myself down, *was ready to just throw in the towel*, i headed to $5 and below to see if they even had makeup. they do. i'll go back next week, with my daughter, who will be able to help me with all the shades and contour colors, and keep me reeled in, because i was going to spend that $200. fingers crossed, i'll try my first makeup thing next week. OH, and i saw a mens store, that looked like it had 'jazzy' stuff. so i'll check them out too. meanwhile, i have some of the old man's clothes that i can alter, and play around with.

still have a couple years to go. i ^think^ my reg day was in nov. '07 but congrats to you old farts for making this nursing home the best EVAR!!

i gave up coffee last year (?) as a daily beverage, and now only really want it, with hot cocoa mixed in, during the colder months. i don't drink alcohol as much anymore, but spiced rum was always a winter /colder months thing for me.
