  1. Donald Sutherland, the beloved actor who starred in scores of films from The Dirty Dozen, MASH and Klute to Animal House and Ordinary People to Pride & Prejudice and The Hunger Games franchise and won an Emmy for Citizen X, died Thursday in Miami after a long illness. He was 88. i can say i have enjoyed everything he's been in. klute was one of my favorites.
  2. oh...i get it. and i jest. kind of like the kwanzaa in 1997. all the sudden everybody knew what that was about, once clinton acknowledged and the PO put a stamp out.
  3. ^ things like this really make me want to 'walk around here' with a rolled up newspaper.

  7. Aid groups contend that Israeli inspections, ongoing fighting and desperate residents taking cargo has paralyzed aid delivery to Gaza’s south. Israel blames the UN and other aid agencies for not ramping up their ability to deliver the backlog of aid.
  8. imagine that.... Lazzarini, commissioner general of UNRWA, the main organisation delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza, said that there had been no pause in the fighting.

  14. yeah, so, apparently, ghosty here, wants to know why a kid can't hang a flag from the back of his truck, that drags on the ground, at his high school. something about 'hIs RiGhTs' or something.
  15. Pauses will take place from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day until further notice. The humanitarian pauses do not mean the military assault has ended. “There is no cessation of fighting” in Rafah, the military said.
  16. we have a large group of heritage foundation members here. they are currently making their way into public offices/boards. have one sitting on the board of elections. people act like things are 'being blown out of proportion'. i don't think there's enough alarm.
  17. and let me be clear, i'm NOT a country fan, but i grew up with it. so i have learned to appreciate it...where it can be. this group is in the country catagory, and it is what it is. one of my favorites.
