It's worked for me. They've never looked it up. Some states apparently have databases where cops can look up if you're currently actively insured just by your license plate but my state wasn't like that I don't think. Anyway it's better than not having any proof at all. But yeah they could definitely prove it immediately if they pursued it past looking at the paper. So driving uninsured is always stressful, that's like the main reason I splurged. Nice to not have to worry so much.

This is the first year I bought car insurance by paying for the full year upfront, instead of my usual scam of only paying for the first month & immediately lapsing after that since I got the ""proof of insurance"" that says my plan is for 1 year.

Having trouble getting into gear to clean the crib.
Noob replied to PhilosipherStoned's topic in General Discussion
Man I have this exact same problem. Doing hard af warehouse work or deep cleaning a kitchen, scrubbing grease and everything, fine no problem I'll hop right to it, feels like easy work. But then I come home and even when I got a couple days off, I can't clean the bathroom to save my life. -
God dam that messed up

No. I think the "joke" with these birthday threads is supposed to be that they're usually for people who haven't logged on in years.

The Welcome to Derry premiere was good! The opening scene was scary and it ended great. I also watched Weapons yesterday and while it kept me engaged for the full 2+ hours I thought it kinda sucked by the end. I mean it was funny in parts like with the dumb cop getting stuck and everything but not really much of a horror movie. Also extremely predictable Excited for more of the Derry show, but idk what else I'm gonna watch this week.

Gin & tonic if I'm drinking liquor for some reason (do not let me) Otherwise I love sour beers & will always try a new one. A lotta places don't carry them though, so I'll get the closest thing that isn't cider. A wheat beer made with lime, whatever. If there's nothing that sounds good then I just get the plainest sounding lager available, again always prefer to try something new. Or if I'm eating spicy food, since sours don't usually pair well & lagers go with anything. If all else fails, a cheap can of Hamm's

My friend who delivers occasionally says he does alright but it's highly tip dependent and he gets fucked over on some orders. I asked if that DoorDash claim of $20+ an hour could possibly be true and he said that sounds about right, so idk. Maybe tomorrow.....

It's pretty boring yeah but there's more going on than I thought. Groups of people use it as a place to gather for big meetings and events and stuff, so it's not just like families & field trips.

Man, when I found out he literally worked for a Democratic think tank so many things fell into place for me. Just like when I found out Ginguy was a political consultant. And don't get me started on v*rpetas. This place has served as quite the clarifying microcosm.

I mean it sounds like anything is better than nothing for you at this point. Lots of people do that. If you're out in the middle of absolute nowhere though it might be time to think about moving closer to where more people & jobs are? There's also plasma donations. OctaPharma & CSL are the two big chains. For new donors you can make several hundred dollars by going twice a week for a month. After that it'll be less, but then you can go to the other company and be a new donor there. Then wait some time and go back and be a New Donor again. I've done that before when out of work & broke and it's helped save me. I get that you're in Texas but man California has more homeless people than anywhere else, trust me when I tell you there is no real safety net in this country. If you don't have money coming in you will end up living on the streets, that's the deal in America. $2000 every month is actually a lot of money, even without SNAP or anything else. Maybe you need help budgeting. I still think there's probably Amazon, UPS, and/or FedEx near where you are but they have been closing rural stations and consolidating, so maybe not. Look into it. If it's within 7 miles you could easily walk there & back, or at least walk there and pay a coworker to give you a ride at least somewhat closer to home & walk the rest of the way. I get that you don't want to leave your mother alone for hours a day but it sounds like getting a job is more critically important in the short term. Apologies if I'm reading the situation wrong but that's just how it sounds to me. Don't feel paralyzed. You can walk, you can work. Mint mobile is like $15/month. I pay $25/month for Visible for unlimited everything. They give you a free phone just for joining. My advice, cut this guy off and just get your own phone plan.

I now work at a museum. Random ecks dee Everyone is saying a horrible recession is coming soon but I had no trouble getting multiple call backs right away and I only put in several applications. Granted these were all low-paying <$20/hour jobs, maybe for realer and/or faker jobs it's different. I did see this unsubstantiated graphic though that had a list of states that are supposedly already in (a?) recession & mine wasn't on it so maybe it's different in some places, but AFAICT there's still plenty of openings out there for anyone looking to change things up. I even signed up to deliver DoorDash for fun but haven't done it yet. They claim the average driver here makes $22 an hour which sounds unbelievable but might try it out and report back. Any recession indicators where you guys are, or anything weird going on with the economy or life in general, or are things more or less still Very Normal?

At that point ya just gotta add a few more contenders and make it an Armageddon Hell in a Cell. Or at least a couple more contenders + a Rikishi (Shiva)

I've smoked a lot of pot over the years and in all that time I never called it pot, and also never wanted to stop. I thought it was really good for my brian But since stopping this summer I've noticed how much different being on pot made me and that I really had no idea what being sober is like (I quit drinking heavily quite awhile ago thanks to pot) Pot is like Substance D from that classic movie A Scanner Darkly. Once you're on pot that's it you're a different person, you don't even realize what it's like to not be on it anymore. Even when you're not immediately high or before you even smoke that day, it's still swimming around in you from before making you different and suppressing your autism. It takes time to get sober and return to your natural Self Anyway all that being said things have been better without pot but look what the fuck I found just laying in the fucking street like a stupid evil little asshole inviting me to pucker up and lick its devilishly tingly ticklish little taint: A fucking plastic cup of loose weed. It was just laying there in the sun, partially spilled out into the road. All muddy and grimy and shit I immediately scooped it up and took it home and ground some up and smoked it and it's pot. Not fake delta 8 pot like I thought, nope it's 100% just fuckin pot. I don't even want to smoke this I'm so mad at the world for giving it to me Now, like really? NOW is when I find this just sitting there in public, when for the first time in my life I consider it lower than FECES? Now the universe gifts me this. Now. Not before. Not all those times when I was broke and smoking literal stems and microscopic bits of resin out of a goddamn apple. Noooooooooo, NOW is when this shit obscenely flashes me in public laying spread eagle in the middle of the goddamn. Public thoroughfare When they're serving pot drinks at every dive bar and pizza joint, NOW is when I find a dirty Solo cup full of weed that yes im going to smoke because fuck you pot, this is unfriggin believable.

If you aren't on Disability, consider applying to Amazon/UPS/FedEx. They hire a lot of people (anyone with a pulse) to work in their warehouses starting around now through Christmas and may keep you on longer/permanently. They should pay at least close to $20/HR and often make overtime mandatory. You could easily earn over $4,000 in just two months as long as you show up to work every day and try your best. I promise, once you are in the door they will find something for you to do. If you can drive, Amazon may even hire you to drive around and do delivery. I know you're autistic but lots of autistic people work in warehouse jobs. It might sound scary or overwhelming if you haven't worked in a long time or ever, but I believe these jobs are something almost any person can do for at least a couple of months. I've given you money before but I don't have any money right now and anyway it isn't a long-term solution, and you know that. Message me if you have any questions about where & how to apply to any of these companies and I'll do my best to try to help you navigate that process and point you in the right direction.
