It's considered an option because SNRIs are effective pain reducers when paired with things like diclofenac or meloxicam. I can have microscopic surgery to remove the fragments and help with the tinnitus, but that could possibly cause more issues. Basically, they just want to wait until I need an entire knee replacement in 10-15 years. Seeing how the MRIs have not shown any soft tissues damage, and the arthritis is not reversible, two surgeons have told me that physical therapy is the answer. I've been going to a gym for three times a week for two months. It seems to be more of a thing with the insurance company not giving the okay because there is not a meniscus or synovial problem.

I basically consume 12-15 of your general over the counter NSAIDs, which is a near toxic dose, a day with my three tramadol. It doesn't even touch the peak level of pain. At this rate, I will likely come down with liver failure at the age of 45.

For awhile, I was prescribed percocet but they took away from me seven months ago. They give me tramadol instead, which fucking sucks. I have a fragmented patella, stressed MCL and stressed ACL, but I am "too young" for them to want to do surgery on me. During the two years that I was prescribed oxycodone I never took it out of dosage recommendation of my doctor and I never took it just to get high. I honestly needed/need it to function on a quality of life level, Two months ago, I went to get a cortisone injection, surgeon said no, and the surgeon said I was suffering from "major crepitus"(arthritis) and did not want to contribute to joint deterioration by giving said injection. Tl;DR do not switch doctors and fuck insurance.
