By the time the show ended, I ran out of opinions. It was just a blah fail at that point. I WAS however truly annoyed at how Toonami ran the credits music over important dialogue in the epilogue!
Japan doesn't really care about American humor. They have different tastes. Mineta is controversial there too- notice how the mangaka tries to make him less hated by making everyone else around him either ignorant to his antics, or totally disgusted.
If this movie becomes dead, I can see a Youtuber uploading a video called Why Legendary Pictures Can Never Release An Anime Movie!
Buddy, anime dubs are ALWAYS old news because they come after the sub. It's been this way for like 3 decades by now. For years I expected everyone to just get used to the idea that anime in the USA is meant to be seen MORE THAN ONCE just by the nature of how many times they keep getting rereleased. This isn't just a Toonami problem.
Toonami has made deals with simuldubs before, with decent-to-poor results.
... Super's DUB is a premiere though. The Super episodes were aired around a year ago each.
Toonami is two years behind the roll-out of the MHA episodes, but that's because at the time, Funimation/Crunchyroll had exclusive rights to distribute them in the USA and Toonami had to wait until the contract expired. Funimation/Crunchyroll are still posting the new episodes going foward though.
Toriyama said he wanted to release Battle of Gods and Resurrection F directly in response to the soiled reputation Evolution brought to the franchise, so ... we can thank the director for that???
... yeah the MHA live-action movie needs to die. In fact I have been hiding and unfollowing any social media posts that talk about this.
More clearly, they always try to get stuff that is as new as possible, but A LOT OF THE TIME, they can't, due to either dub not being ready, or legal rights with their business rivals.
Uuuuuuugh I got a Halloween party to go to at 8 fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. *_* I mean I seen all of the dub of MHA, and I don't care to skip an episode of Super, but man I wanna discuss it live with you guuuuuuys. At least we get the start of the twisted Mob Psycho 100 in time for Halloween.
FLCL at 2 is a great idea. It's a rerun of a show that sadly hasn't been doing well. And one of those Jacks was clearly used as a placeholder so I'm fine with that.
At this point it's almost like the Dragonball Z fans are phoning it in. "UGH I GU-EEEESS we should tune in to only those two shows but I'm SOOOOOOOOO LAY-zeeeee...."
