Let's watch this TOTALLY NOT Funimation show since, according to the article EVERYONE CLEARLY read the right way, Toonami can't get Funimation shows anymore! I suppose Im typing on a non-existent thread!

Apparently, DeMarco is not bothered by all the anime they lose to Netflix and companies every day. For a while now, hell especially when Toonami came back, he says it's "a small boutique thing", and that he's got high hopes for the block's future so long as they get at least 2 big shows per year, and the acquisition of a Warner Media/OTT offering coming only reinforces that. I admit I had this feeling for years too. But it's annoying when everyone knows the shows they get to air are most certainly NOT "boutique", and we expect the utmost treatment for them instead of tepid ratings once a week. I actually prefer watching anime at a set time every week because it makes it easy to plan my busy life, and I know it gurarantees a few other people who will talk about it with me at the same time. Also, it appears that's the last straw for DeMarco's patience when responding to that question. So .... yeah, great job, user. You ran out the patience of someone who I previously assumed had infinite amounts of patience.

Shield Hero looks like every other fantasy anime to me. It may just be a case of watching it for myself though. I mean I am following that Slime isekai anime because its protagonist is clearly different from any before, but he's OP as hell to the point where I'm questioning how slimes in that world just didn't up and take over the entire universe by this point. But choosing a very different fantasy anime from SAO might bring in slightly higher ratings. The guy who wrote that article about BC being "the best anime ever" wrote a follow-up article highlighting how it wasn't due to company influence, and that he really does personally believe it. Different strokes, but I prefer he didn't write it in that way.

You are dead on arrival if you EVER DARE follow an incredibly-animated OVA directed by Hideki Anno featuring the TRIGGER animation crew (then GAINAX)!

Here's my issue with this. You CAN'T predict when Toonami will die, or what will cause it anymore. 5 years ago we thought these kinds of ratings would kill it, but it's still around.

Note the article says SOME of Funimation's titles will be exclusively run on Hulu, not all of them. I really hate it when someone jumps the gun and says Toonami's dead.

Agreed with all of these. Especially disappointed with Cutie Honey, a decades-old classic whose latest reincarnation got THIS piece of trash.
