    ... k where did this thing about shirikodama come from? Apparently it's widely known in Japanese folklore, but the Wikipedia article on kappas tells you nothing about it, and I never knew it from any other source! But yeah, serious contender for anime of the season!

    DB Super did even better than last week, but again everything after that flatlines in the usual level. With the Final Four happening as well as Live PD I was assuming much worse than this. And it looks like that SAO Episode That Shall Not Be Named didn't really affect the retention after it.

    There's changing content out of necessity (like an actor dying, or an animal not being available in a country), and changing content because "I'm the producer and ME ME ME ME ME!"

    FYI, I had no idea Ging represented the Boar in the Zodiac team, so I just called him "pig-ass" in my opening post by pure coincidence!

    They didn't even air the second season .. Though that's more because the rights got snatched by someone else.

    DeMarco did say that they "no longer want this to just be a shonen block" (FIIIINALLY!!!) and branch out into other genres like they did with Pop Team Epic, so The Promised Neverland is a good next step because it's more of a tense, quiet thriller/horror series in the same vain as Death Note, but Demon Slayer has elements of slice of life too.
