Any particular brand or model you would suggest? I may just settle for this cheap walmart brand for this length. It supports 1080p and has 3 hdmI inputs and 1 vga. That's all I need for now for a tv. I still need to get a gaming monitor for my computer, the tv is just gonna be used for console gaming.

Are you googling things and trying to give me advice because it kind of seems like that... I've already tried everything you've told me to do I'm not even having a problem with the sample rate honestly that part of my post was more or less a rant about working with a guy that deviates from the standard for no apparent reason. Compression of the spoken word sample..which I understand why it was turned up and compressed at the time..is the mixing issue I'm working on overcoming.. no biggie... it was just a rant. It's amixing issue...that really is only a m mixing issue because further along down the road it'll be a mastering issue. I'm wasting too much time trying to explain this, but I understand what you're getting at, and that's not going to solve my problem.. better compression tools with this program might.. but I digress. I could solve the issue if I wanted to relearn some stuff on another DAW.

I'm not changing pitch and duration.. this beat throws an error if I try to record at 44100 and unless it's upsampled it can't be used..so I'm doing this session at 48000 regardless. Right now I'm just trying to mix an old audio sample into the session.. jim morrisons voice resonates with the frequencies of the beat and makes it peak so spectral analysis would be helpful I'll give you that.. neither of the audio samples peak alone, but at the shift of his words, and the high point of this beats melody the samples peak together.. This is gonna be one hell of a mix X_X

nope it is not the same.. I've tried changing the sample rate for this beat it isn't a good idea. Don't worry I'll figure this out. I'm not making a pop song..

I can hear the difference in this guys beat from 48000 to 44100 though so even though I've kind of been beating him up about that in my head I can't judge I guess.. I should just dale wit it because producers like me supposingly because I'm like MF Doom 'a recording artist with a djs ear' when I record..this shit is weird idk maybe im just being a bitch, and being too picky with my decibals.. the engineer that recorded old jim compressed the fuck out of the intro which was just spoken word with no music.. I'm just tripping out on how I'm supposed to blend this quiet ass voice into my loud ass boombap instrumental.. (which still is about as far from jims voice from peaking in my DAW even though the beat sounds loud AF) Jim's voice some how crosses the threshold at some point even though the waveform is quiet and small as fuck..and obviously professionally compressed..-_- I give in yet again trying to mix this. maybe some of my better DAWs can help, but I forgot a lot of the layout I need to use those already. I'm sure this is a compression or reverse compression issue though.. I'm just gonna have to either reverse audio engineer this DOORS sample or not use it at all..

cool edit pro.. even if I used fucking protools unless I was told otherwise I would probably sample in 44100.. that's pretty much standard across the board.. at least it has been, but I think this guy might have put A LOT of aftermarket finesse into his simple boombap beat and that's why he sampled at 48000.. my point is my intro audio sample is from a youtube vid of Jim Morrison reciting a few lines of his poetry and THAT audio file has to be upsampled to even be inserted into the project.. just to put things into perspective.. it doesn't really matter that much that I'm using an old program..

I have to upsample added recordings besides my voice) up from the original production rate of 44100 [WHICH IS STANDARD!!!], but I DONT USUALLY EVEN HAVE TO UPSAMPLE SHIT.. this fucker just decided to record at 48000 hz to make his beat(s) special I swear.. Im about to loose it I'm not a qualified audio engineer, but I'm pretty good I know.. THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT.

I'm not sure if it's the air quality or what... I am pretty sure a mexican without a greencard can probably find better working conditions than I've experienced so far.. I got written up for bad safety practices for pricking my finger and bleeding a bit too much though so I'm not trying to say I'm working for a company that doesn't have the money to do better.. So the next thing I'm gonna do when I'm set on the money is upgrade the tv I use for console gaming, I wanted to try a dual monitor set up for my computer desk, but since I got these two big ass tascam sound monitors for music I'm pretty sure I can't fit another reasonable sized monitor on it..so for now I'm just looking for an affordable 48-50' flat screen to actually get down on some console gaming with. I've never been one to obsess over graphics too much in gaming as long as I can run full settings and get a reasonable 1080p experience so what are you guys thoughts on refresh rates? Also if you have any cheap gaming computer monitor suggestions/ pro-tips this is the thread to drop them in I guess..

I've been told that after a while it's a good idea to redo the thermal paste or at least check and make sure you still have a good seal between the processor and the heatsink.. I havent checked mine out since I booted this thing like 2-3 years ago though.
