wow miz and nakamura would be such an interesting little trial by fire for both of them.
-
wow the roof is literally coming off the place.

I like Mojo, just still not really happy with him winning the ATG battle royal, especially not the way he won it. Miz is crazy good. He out promos Cena and I think that's because - you know the announcers lately have been into mentioning "ring awareness" (which gets annoying kinda) but - that's what Cena lacks I think. Miz has a real awareness of his subject matter, timing, the crowd, etc. Cena I think used to have that, but he lost it. He has literally zero awareness, he sort of goes out and tries to slam out what he's rehearsed and hit his marks and expects a cookie afterwards. but I think because he has no awareness, he may go out there and say what he intended to say, but it just has zero effect because - while he still has a decent enough delivery, there's no real crowd awareness there. He might as well be doing his promos in front of a mirror or somwething and OH MY GOD THAT'S NAKAMURA's ENTRANCE MUSIC

watching the Smackdown RIGHT NOW. So far good show. Rowan returns! Always loved Rowan even though he's a jobber. yeah, Dillinger to me is like one of those - actually kinda like Curt Hawkins. Zack Ryder - just - not quite ever over with me. But hey, somebody has to occupy the lower card so there can be a midcard and upper card right? Titus O'Neil is another one. Just - not that I don't like them, I kinda do. But they're just not - like anybody I'd go "FUCK YEAH". Having said that, I would put Dillinger toward the top of that heap. Just by virtue of the heat coming off him from NXT. But there's definitely other guys in that corral that I like a ton more, like Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas and probably a few more I'm not thinking of atm.

no. he won't.

Cena and Reigns are beyond heel turns. I think they both have the potential to damage the entire brand. In-ring they're assets no question. They're both very talented. But storywise and mic wise they have different issues. Reigns doesn't know how to emote or act or react, he's terrible on the mic. Creative's answer to that was to thrust this "big dawg attitude" on him, which he also doesn't seem to understand or execute well. Cena can go on the mic, but he's got these glaringly obvious personal character flaws that I think he is fully convinced don't show up in his performance, but most definitely do. they both need different types of acting coaching, and they both need different creative solutions. Cena's performance bleeds with his personal obsequiousness. Reigns' promos are mud. And both have the shittiest booking ever. Their pushes work against them. And nobody ever tries anything new, or tries to change course, they just keep ramming away.

Sasha's been knocking it out of the park the last few episodes.

I think Negan's only a bully when he thinks it works. Like you mention with Eugene, I think the reason Negan has succeeded there was because of what you suggest. Negan saw Eugene's value when no one else did, and he approached and handled him the right way. In Rick's camp, Eugene was treated like a team mascot, which left sort of constantly begging for scraps or something. So I think that suggests that Negan is very capable of negotiating different deals with different groups. Even though there are probably consistencies and things he does every time, I'm guessing the Hilltop deal is a bit different than the deal with the Kingdom etc etc. So any deal he would make with the Scavengers would possibly be based on that idea, but also his immediate need to best Rick. The Scavengers particularly bound by any overriding honor code when it comes to dealing with outside entities. My thought there is they were only with Rick until somebody else offered something better, and likewise, they are only with Negan til somebody offers something better. My guess is Jadis approached Negan to get a better deal. You can kind of read her face though as she's dealing with Negan as he amends their initial deal. There's something there when she gives in to that that suggests she's actually thinking she made the wrong choice. I think the Scavengers are tough, and though they seem to be a tight tribe in themselves, they are out for themselves period, and the best deal they can get. Having lived that way for a long enough period of time, they are probably pretty set in their ways. I don't think they're particularly evil. And they aren't necessarily "predators" in the overriding sense. They're scavengers. So they'll take what they can get, and they're going to try not to go too far out on a limb to get it maybe. The actor who plays Jadis is amazing. Her face is so subtle but expressive. I think she's kind of all the things mentioned above, but she is not beyond reach. And I think she's maybe too tough to let it effect her on the surface, but I honestly think what went down in Alexandria did cause her to think a bit. She doesn't strike me as particularly heavy on regret in general, but I think she might regret her actions there. Not that it will influence her behavior (maybe over time), I think she sublimates that to the scavenger community and basic survival instincts surrounding that. that's my impression of her and the Scavengers anyway.

diving back into the swamp that is permissions. PM me or post if anything (like the ability to post in an area you want to be posting in) blacks out on anyone.

there's a lot more after that. like another 20 minutes or so of all out war.
-
heeey revival. Not sure Raw is the best brand for them, but there's a trade next week so maybe Gallows and Anderson'll go to Smackdown or something.
-
wow that bit where they were actually trolling Vince McMahon with the "Roman sucks" chants was kinda new.
-
oh fuck you - fucking 12 minutes of this horseshit. fuck you Raw.
-
that's what they should be chanting: Boooooooo-ring... Boooooo ring.
-
okay - here's part of the deal with Reigns: how can a guy that's getting SO MUCH heat from the crowd be that fucking boring? that's my problem with Reigns in a nutshell.
-
ima watch it right nnnnooooow.

so to start you might want to come up with a basic character idea. if you have questions about the world/scenarios you'll be playing in, or anything else that may be of help figuring out what kind of character you want to be, feel free to ask. The game will be set on the continent of Bricen, which is the large land mass surrounded by water in the North-East section of the map above. Bricen differs from the mainland in that it has no kings or countries. It is simply one large landmass that has been settled by various groups from the main continent, but claimed by no king (though there are those that would have it otherwise). At the beginning of the campaign, the characters will be bound for the Isle of Bricen on a ship called "Berth of the Weary" or "Bertha" for short, a merchant vessel carrying trade goods to the bustling frontier port city of Hopin, along with a handful of passengers bound for the new settlements. Each character bound for Bricen will potentially have different reasons for making the journey. Adventure, Fame, Fortune, Seeking out family or friends, A particular quest, Trade, Exploration, or other reasons. For each character, these motivations will be determined during the character building process.

You should be able to see the A/V club board. also there's a thread about it on the planning board, if there's some stuff you want to see screened in there, I can show you how to post stuff to the A/V Club block so you can change the vids and stuff too.
