so to start you might want to come up with a basic character idea. if you have questions about the world/scenarios you'll be playing in, or anything else that may be of help figuring out what kind of character you want to be, feel free to ask. The game will be set on the continent of Bricen, which is the large land mass surrounded by water in the North-East section of the map above. Bricen differs from the mainland in that it has no kings or countries. It is simply one large landmass that has been settled by various groups from the main continent, but claimed by no king (though there are those that would have it otherwise). At the beginning of the campaign, the characters will be bound for the Isle of Bricen on a ship called "Berth of the Weary" or "Bertha" for short, a merchant vessel carrying trade goods to the bustling frontier port city of Hopin, along with a handful of passengers bound for the new settlements. Each character bound for Bricen will potentially have different reasons for making the journey. Adventure, Fame, Fortune, Seeking out family or friends, A particular quest, Trade, Exploration, or other reasons. For each character, these motivations will be determined during the character building process.

You should be able to see the A/V club board. also there's a thread about it on the planning board, if there's some stuff you want to see screened in there, I can show you how to post stuff to the A/V Club block so you can change the vids and stuff too.

can you see the gaming tables area toward the bottom of the board? there's should be a "Staging/Planning" section and a "Bricen Chronicles" section. If you can, then think about what sort of character you want and feel free to post any questions on the Bricen board about it.

I think genetics and brain chemistry is complicated enough that the suggestion that it could be either one or varying combinations of those and other factors, depending upon the person and their makeup is more accurate perhaps than cheerleading for any particular social agenda.

I like TPB a lot, but that Snoop Dog/Tom Arnold/Doug Benson season was a little jumpthesharky for my tastes. i still haven't seen the whole season yet but will watch it soon.

We will be testing out some ideas for things we can do on the board. If they work out, we might make them a regular thing. Or they might be like a regular thing, but only available to members that are interested, or maybe not. We'll see how they go. So these things require members to sign up to be tested on like rodents receive the magical internet benefits of these special things. Currently we are looking to test out: 1. RPG: I need to test out the gaming table section. In order to do that, I need some players for an ongoing PBP (Play By Post) RPG (Role-Playing Game). Basically it's the internet version of a pencil-and-paper-and-dice game in which players create characters to go on adventures in the world the GM has created. The campaign is called "the Bricen Chronicles" and takes place in a medievalish fantasy setting. The ruleset is home made, but still consists of all the basic stuff that's in an RPG (characters will have stats that represent their various characteristics, and chose classes/talents etc). 2. Weekly Email Digest/Notification: Basically a weekly email telling you what's new with links to new Media news, and other stuff. Basically more or less a digest/reminder to log in, or catch you up if you haven't had time to. 3. UEMB A/V Club: This will be an area on the board where we screen things. Rather than be posted as threads, they will be up for a limited amount of time, and then we will move on to the next screening. Essentially this will be about discussion of the work and learning from it, sometimes we might have parody contests to see who can come up with the best parody of it. You know - legal stuff that we can do. Screenings will include obscure and classic television shows and shorts, sci fi, fantasy, horror and genre shows, animation, alternative comedy, and other stuff. If you're interested in signing up for this stuff, post in this thread, along with which thing(s) you're interested in. I will add you to that list, and when we're ready to test it, I'll fix you up so you can do that and PM to let you know it's goin' down.

Austin Ares Vs Neville I had Ares for the win but I was still happy to see Neville win and it was a good match. Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal: Killian Dane was a surprise, especially lasting almost til the end. Mojo winning was kind of cool. Corbin Vs Ambrose ambrose retains pretty cool. I think I had Corbin winning, so I think I'm wrong across the board so far. New Day are good hosts. Shane Vs AJ Styles match went kind of how I thought, except it wasn't technically speaking as good as I'd hoped. AJ with the win as predicted KO Vs Jericho match seemed short to me, also not as good as I'd hoped, KO with the win as predicted. Bayley Vs Charlotte Vs Nia Jax Vs Sasha Banks: Amazing stuff, the earlier matches of the night were decent enough, but plagued by slowdowns and clumsy spots. The women are just smooth. They know what they're doing, they all work well together, there are no weak links. well, once again, the women steel the show. My pick, Nia, got eliminated first. So missed that. Very pleasantly surprised to see Bayley ratain. 2017 Hall Of Fame class is a good one. Here's the difference between Angle and Cena: When the crowd chants "YOU SUCK" Angle LOVES it. And he understands it. Cena is always thrown by it, he pretends to embrace it, but it's clear he's only pretending. And the crowd means it with Cena, with Angle it's part of his heel gimmick. But you can see it in his eyes, Angle loves his fans and they love him. Cena doesn't seem to understand that relationship. Enzo and Cass Vs Sheamus and Cesaro Vs Gallows and Anderson Vs Hardys. don't get me wrong, Hardys were great, and they're still not bad in the ring at all, but this is what pisses me off about WWE. You have 3 extremely deserving teams, six amazing performers, and WWE creative is like "I know, let's have some oldsters todder in and destroy everyone and we drop the belts on them!" Cena/Bella vs Miz/Maryse Called it right down to the marriage proposal at the end. Triple H vs Seth Rollins I find myself looking forward to this probably more than I did the other matches. no runins but a pretty good match, Rollins picks up the win in a straight up one on one. So got this one wrong, but very glad I did. But it kind of pisses me off they keep dropping belts on the most boring possible performers just because Vince or somebody in booking has a hardon for them. alexa bliss vs becky lynch vs carmella vs Mickey James vs Naomi vs Natalya another great match Naomi wins! The women really do put the men to shame here. I mean, every single women's match has been phenomenal. All the other matches have had some sort of glitch, problem, or slow section or missed spot. It's awesome to see a match where everyone in it is firing on all cylinders. Goldberg Vs Lesnar: Fuck you. Reigns vs Undertaker: Fuck you. So kind of about what I expected. Very irritating headliner matches, a couple of nice surprises, the women stole the show (no question), I feel like I enjoyed it more than last year. But also I had kind of braced myself for shitty Lesnar V Goldberg and Reigns winning and Orton winning. Now we're over the crappy part (the WM33 main events fucking yuck) and onward to the post-WM Raw and Smackdowns, which should be awesome. Very excited to see what goes down post-WM, who gets called up from NXT, etc. I'm actually genuinely looking forward to Raw and Smackdown this week I think way more than I was looking forward to this year's WM.

I actually watched the Simpsons tonight. It was a good one. Burns starts his own university (like the Trump thing). Also caught Bob's Burgers while I was at it. Also good. Watched Rick And Morty April Fools Day stealth Season 3 Premiere and it was specfuckingtacular.

yeah it was a fantastic episode. one of the things I love about Rick and Morty is - the bar is always super high (there really are no bad episodes), and they always seem to just glide over it with no trouble at all.

Ray was the story for seasons 1-7, but Ray and Lahey grew up together. But Ray fakes his own death in the TPB movie and I think the character is living in Florida now under an assumed name.
