  1. Please explain your joke to me. I'm assuming it's funny so you better not disappoint.
  2. I can't imagine a reveal in One Piece to be remotely worth 250 episodes. 😐
  3. The weirdest part of this lawsuit is that someone wanted 30% more Burger King.
  4. I'm hype to replay these.
  5. The big thing with OG One Piece is that it has so much wasted time. Like each arc has to be about 1 character, so the whole cast has to be subjugated to B-plots that contribute very little on repeat. Perhaps they serve a purpose many, many chapters/episodes later but I can only tolerate a finite amount of my time being wasted before you get to the fucking point. The live action, based on the first episode, unironically felt like a new draft with the changes being predominately positive. They ripped out the nonstop barrage of the single B-plot of Luffy wants food that gets repeated tirelessly in favor of 1. Giving everyone something to do, and 2. Allowimg those things to directly tie into the story as it progresses at present, not some day maybe in 10 years real time. This isn't just @Jman's sentiment of they made the pacing more brisk. It's they gave it pacing. The episode actually displayed a level of competency I wasn't expecting. I don't know if it's genuinely "good" yet. Though, once I got over some largely aesthetic problems (outdoor shots could be a bit oversaturated with the warm color hues, costumes didn't always work well in the more grounded environments especially with how instantly main characters could be pinned in crowds of weirdly normal looking people, and, in terms of personal preference, I really never liked close-up macro face shots where they use distortions - like fish eye lenses), I just kinda vibed with it. Dialogue and characters were pretty standard fare, acting was solid, choreography was impressive to the point of somehow even making Zoro's third sword look acceptable. I actually did like the episode. I was never a big fan of One Piece and this seemed like they put effort into cutting fat to get straight to the point. Interested to see more.
  6. First episode was an improvement over the source material in nearly every way. 😐
  7. Hi also DTF. I'm naraku360.
  8. Hi DTF. I'm naraku360.
  9. You grossly overestimate their willingness to read passed the first half of the title.
  10. You grossly overestimate their ability to count into double digits.
  11. So, when are we gonna get the juicy deets? Whose fault was it? What'd they do? And where in the world is Carmen Sandiego?
  12. How do the insurmountable levels of stupid contained within Elon keep getting surmounted by Elon?
  13. It sounds scary when basic addition is above your paygrade, though.
  14. The online is better than it was, especially when using a wired connection. Not great, just a bit better than launch. But the arenas tend to be more stable than the random matchmaking. I fell out of practice pretty hard last year because Xenoblade 3 made me spiral back into the whole series and the predecessors, which is a massive undertaking. Only recently picked it up a couple times, and my Ultimate Peach is fire. Actually fairly proud of how much better I've gotten, albeit not really able to rank competitively.
  15. Also, I feel like we played Smash a bit on 3DS...? I need more people to play Smash with.
  16. Watch the Xenosaga cutscenes. It's basically an anime. The games are tricky to get ahold of, being obscure PS2 titles that are also expensive. 3 games. Fiirst and third are some of the best scifi you can ask for. The second game is kinda like when Star Trek has a bad episode, but it's like half the length of the other two. The Xenoblades can be watched the same way, but are a lot more accessible to play since they're all available on Switch (absolutely worth watching if you 1. Don't have the system and/or 2. Don't have time for multiple 80+ hour JRPGs). First and third are my jam but 2 has a strong following and a lot to like, just seems aimed at a different demographic and the story probably could've used another draft or two. The Blades are more fantasy-esque; however, they're still very scifi under the hood, and excellent fantasy regardless. Considering how big of a Star Trek fan you are, I think Xenosaga especially would be your kind of thing. And if you end up liking those, check out the Blades.... and Xenogears.
