  1. Well, the teaser to the actual indictment. The Fulton County, GA, website briefly posted this before realizing their mistake and taking it down. Now including racketeering.
  2. Oh wait, there's a new Dracula movie out now in theaters? I just thought the Internet was randomly interested in Dracula stuff for some reason.
  3. Georgia will likely be the place where there is video of Trump being found guilty and sentenced.
  4. From 2021 to when Mar-A-Lago got raided, I successfully didn't think about Trump. I look forward to that again. It'll probably happen when he finally goes to prison after sentencing.
  5. We agree on this. If Trump is the GOP nominee, it'll be a "Biden wins be default" situation. Which is new. I haven't seen a noncontested presidential election in my lifetime.
  6. Climate scientists are NOT fans of doomerism.
  7. Months ago, Republicans and right-wingers demanded DoJ appoint a special counsel to investigate Hunter Biden. Yesterday, DoJ did make the Trump-appointed U.S. attorney a special counsel. And then, Republicans expressed outrage over it. (What they are really outraged about is that Biden's alleged crimes aren't serious enough to get more serious criminal charges to stick. They want something more damning than, say, a gun charge.)
  8. Mr. Mxy is arguably my favorite Superman villain. I love the character. That clip gets him pretty right in terms of his light-heartedness. He's like that 90% of the time, but if you make him angry he'll turn into a Lovecraftian horror.
  9. This is not a sign of weakness on Biden's part. It's a curious factoid, but RFK Jr. is not going to receive 20% of Democratic primary votes or delegates. Even if he did, it wouldn't mean anything.
  10. It's dangerous to go alone! Take this.
  11. Kevin McMunigal, a former federal prosecutor in California's Northern District and current professor of criminal law at Case Western Reserve University, told Insider the chance that Trump evades all charges is "absolutely zero," but noted that unique issues would arise with punishing Trump if convicted. ... However, McMunigal noted that Trump does face multiple charges, and judges will consider the seriousness of an offense when considering sentencing. "The idea of overturning an election in the US is an incredibly serious offense," McMunigal said, referring to Trump's election fraud charges. ... Ultimately, McMunigal said, he believes Trump will face prison time or similar consequences, like house arrest if found guilty, even if he receives less time than maximum sentencing recommendations. ... "He's going to be facing these indictments with really strong evidence in four different courts," McMunigal said. "A lot of people think, 'oh, you know, he is so connected that's gonna really help him out, and eventually he'll figure his way out of this.' I don't think that's true." If there was ever any doubt that Trump is going to prison.
  12. Is watching famous YouTube streamers who have been doing it for a very long time, and now they are completely different people from when they started. They were so energetic and full of life ten years ago playing video games for views. And now they are grown men who groan their way through the games as if they are a recently divorced man who just moved back into an apartment.
  13. And then, two years from now, the whole Montgomery Riverfront franchise jumps the shark with a Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young story arc. "Why are we watching this again?" viewers will confusedly ask themselves.
  14. Yeah, within a day, someone edited the video with the voices of Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler talking over it.
  15. A rare screenwriter flex.
  16. Pelosi's point was correct: in general, no matter what bravado Trump tries to project, he's very alarmed that consequences are catching up to him. So there's no strength or confidence in whatever he says or does from now on.
  17. Democrats are drastically overperforming in 2023's special elections. Is it a clue for Biden vs. Trump? Some Republicans, however, caution against "reading too much into specials." Looking ahead to 2024, Democrats concede some cause for concern -- including President Joe Biden's anemic approval rating and early polls forecasting a repeat race against former President Donald Trump in which Biden either ties or trails, due in part to a notable chunk of undecided voters and apprehension over Biden's age and acuity, which he has repeatedly dismissed. But Democrats also say that based on 2023 so far, they see plenty of reason for optimism about their chances with voters. An analysis from FiveThirtyEight found that in 38 special elections held so far this year, Democrats have outperformed the partisan lean -- or the relative liberal or conservative history -- of the areas where the races were held by an average of 10%, both romping in parts of the country that typically support the party while cutting down on GOP margins in red cities and counties, too. For instance, the Democratic candidate in a Wisconsin State Assembly special election last month lost by just 7 points in an area where Republicans have a 22-point edge and where Trump beat Biden by almost 17 points in 2020. In a New Hampshire special election in May for a state House seat, the Democrat won by 43 points, far beyond the party's estimated 23-point edge in the district. https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/democrats-overperforming-2023-special-elections-clue-biden-trump/story?id=101850305
  18. Pence is a witness in the federal Jan. 6 case against Trump. The quote "too honest" is from Trump's indictment. The court has told Trump not intimidating witnesses was a condition for his bail.
