Nostalgia has a nasty way of making me feel like complete shit, but I’m utterly addicted to it & wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Did they change the formula for Gatorade or something? I bought some the other day because I hadn’t had it in a while. This particular flavor (Cool Blue) used to be crisp & refreshing. Now, it just tastes like pure sugar. I’m quite disappointed.

Cold, tired, and a little melancholy, if I’m brutally honest.

I found a $2 bill today. Haven’t seen one of those in….probably over 20 years. I mean, it’s just $2, but it was still a pretty cool find.

Captain D’s 2 pieces of catfish, 2 hush puppies, fried okra, corn on the cob.

Oh, where to start with this one? My siblings and I began the process of cleaning out our parents’ house so that we can eventually sell it, or whatever we ultimately decide to do with it. We’re coming across a lot of things that we grew up with, but have no use for anymore, other than nostalgia. Most of it is going in the trash for what should be obvious reasons. But my mind apparently doesn’t do obvious reasons. My mind sees this as throwing most of my past life away, and I am not okay with that. I know this probably doesn’t make a bit of damn sense. I’m just tired and venting. I think I’ll try to go to bed early tonight…..
