  1. I have never played the game in my life. It's fantastic on its own. The reviews are mostly all 10s. I just hope they keep it accessible to people who dont play the game like it is now.
  2. Yeah I was totally up for some Clover.
  3. damn, my guide says Black Clover is next for some reason..was looking forward to it.
  4. I'm about 5 episodes into Arcane and it is on a totally different level. The show in general gets 10s across the board. It's a visual feast for the eyes and the writing is an A++ as well. Why they didn't make something similarly great within the Blade Runner universe is disappointing as hell. I would have loved a pure cyperpunk setting created in this art and animation style. Riot has a literal masterpiece on their hands and have seriously upped the bar for video game related television and animation in general.
  5. Stop hitting the poor girl 😄
  6. It's certainly something I'm interested in getting answers to and you would think the tech would be capable of doing better than what we're seeing right now. I just think ultimately there's an artistic, human, hand drawn touch that you might never be able to automate with silicon. If you look at something like Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse, which is the best looking animated movie I've ever seen, that is essentially cgi with tons of cutting edge compositing and FX on top of it. I just don't know how you get around the man hours needed to create that super polished look. The new Arcana show on Netflix has a similar look to Spiderverse and I'm hoping that look might replace this low rent cgi stuff that is everywhere right now.
  7. I'm not a fan of the CGI trend at all. This is probably the only show where I'm willing to overlook it and admittedly it is not exactly terrible. When DeMarco announced some new projects on Twitter a month or so back the CGI topic was the first thing that came to mind and several other people chimed in about it too. Apparently there's a whole labor related aspect/controversy to it as well. Animators overworked and under paid etc.etc. That topic was brought up directly to DeMarco.
  8. oh the Turing machine makes an appearance in Black Lotus...nice
  9. I mean Production IG did it to their owned prized property with SAC 2045. There's obviously some type of financial/production related calculation being made that trumps artistic integrity.
  10. Definitely. Elle reminds me of the Arise version of Major quite a bit.
  11. I'm curious if they're using gaming engines like Unity or Unreal to make these shows.
  12. Believe me I'm just as confused by the trend but it has to be a budgetary thing. The new League of Legends show on Netflix has really upped the bar for the CGI centric stuff however.
  13. Totally agree on Elle. Compared to the way Major looked in that newest GiTS it's a big improvement.
  14. Were kind of stuck with this CGI style for certain projects I guess. I've seen way worse. It has some nice lighting and FX so far
  15. Who's the bigger inspiration for our MC? or is there even a difference? 😄
  16. Definitely. An original Blade Runner inspired show created by and for Toonami. It's kind of crazy
  17. This is a serious premiere. A long time coming and born from a legendary IP.
