Of course, Aku gets in the way.

I never even found him annoying. "He's just some fucking guy" is the phrase I will always use to describe him.

No.

I actually like a lot of shows on the block, aside from the filler parts of DB Super and Hunter x Hunter filler. I genuinely poke fun at Tokyo Ghoul because it's shit. Can't remember the characters' names, it tries too hard to be edgy and dark, and the M.C. is an unlikable wuss. I don't root for Kenichi (is that his name?) and actually rooted against him in the last episode, even though I knew he'd have to survive since it was like....episode four or five. Can't remember.

Attack on Titan S2, Episode 1: "Beast Titan"

Either way, it's the sign of someone who's not very good at drawing people in. At least, that should be the case in theory. But the manga is still making gangbusters in Japan, so the junk story telling will continue. -

I'm not familiar enough with this anime, so I'll just ask: Did the Major enter the Matrix or some similar realm? -

Jesus Christ, watching this episode was a mistake. It's like someone just gave me a strong punch right in the FEELS. No Motoko necessary. -

Naruto's relationship with his mentor is so endearing. Makes me sad that Jiraiya is gone. -

Frog is correct. A lot of people think they can put up with a lot of shit, but a number of them usually give out before everything is said and done with. -

"If you start to turn into a frog, I'll beat the hell out of you with this stick." Well....this sounds like some pretty brutal training. -

Decided to stick around for Naruto: Shippuden for the hell of it. I have a minimal understanding of what's going on. -

I believe so. It isn't deep enough to explore such concepts. -
So....an over-sexualized, uncreative, unimaginative anime was cancelled because it couldn't sell its stock of fucking DVD's/Blu-Rays? Cry me a river. That crap makes me feel uber uncomfortable anyway. Same with Kampfer, Bakemonogatari and the other garbage that's been recommended to me.

Same. Unfortunately, Hunter x Hunter dabbles too much in pointless exposition and side-adventures. It meanders too often and the characters are often too...."careless" for me to care about them. I mean, a few weeks ago someone came up with an excellent explanation for why the YorkNew City arc is superior to the rest of the anime: Because death and murder is treated in such a trivial manner until Killua has to deal with the Phantom Troupe/Spiders. There's a reasonable motivation to engage in certain activities during this arc. People are getting killed, and Killua wants to put an end to it. That's why it's so much more intriguing than the previous arcs.
