I'll just say that what's coming next is a convoluted reaching ass-pull of a retcon that tries to act like a plot-twist, but just drives a big steak through the series likability. Imo it's terrible. But judge for yourself. .. The Pain stuff is decent though. It'll get better once we get back to that. But the problem with Naruto is that it always ends up focusing on the Uchiha and their baggage once again.

Oh lord... the Itachi reveal is one of the major points in where Naruto starts turning to shit. I really hate whats about to unfold. Honestly, anything focusing on the Uchiha or Sasuke ruins this series soooooo much. Ugh.

The first opening had it tacked on to the beginning. But that changed once the opening changed. Then, One Piece has it's timeslot change in Japan during Eneis lobby, which resulted in those clip-show flashback episodes and this introduction thing which I assume was because they wanted to enlighten new viewers on the series and also padding. When it changes, it won't be based on Gold Roger anymore, but it'll still be a series overview, so to speak.

It's in the show for padding. I don't think they can cut it smoothly due to the burning-page effect that transitions into the episode recap each time. Also, they change the "introduction" every hundred episodes or so. The Gold Roger one will be swapped during the next arc for a new one. But they're overall here to stay, bar some important episodes where they don't air it.

I still dont get this notion. If they didn't pick it up, someone else would have. You would have discovered it anyway. In better form, most likely.

I think he's going to be involved with it. Probably like how Toriyama is involved with DBSuper. Plus, I'm sure the Boruto anime will adapt The Naruto Gaiden sidestory, as well as the one-shots and will probably re-imagine Boruto: Naruto the Movie so we'll still have pure Kishimoto content.

I would assume they'd wait till Shipudden ends first (and they're super behind on that, so...)

Top flavor would be the years most popular show. Like Mob Psyco, My Hero Academia or Keijo (I know, lmao, it is tho) would fit that bill. Jojo... I mean, the portion airing now is old so it's not really buzzing. But if we're talking about ratings, idealy, the hot 'new' popular show from Japan should be what typically follows DBZ.

I dunno if dub premiere has any significance. After all, look how Kai is preforming. I think the mainstreamers just don't want JoJo. Of course, all the mainstreamers want are DBZ, the current top flavor anime (AoT, OPM), or something edge-lord (Akame ga Kill, Tokyo Ghoul) so screw their opinions, really. >_>

The old Lupin series didn't really do all that well, but that might be because it looked old as hell. Maybe this one would do better, but I don't think the Lupin brand has enough power to maintain 12:30am. Honestly.... and it pains me to say this.... but Tokyo Ghoul seems to be the most likely candidate to hold DBZ well. That edge-lord crap is what Americans love.

Battle Tendency is alot better than Phantom Blood. But it's not like Phantom Blood is terrible. It's really good as well. And yet look at it. I don't think show quality dictates ratings. For example, I'm sure Tokyo Ghoul would do gangbusters and that show suuuuuucks. And like I said, no matter what arc it's in, Jojo is still very much Jojo in that it's campy as hell. And I think that's what is holding it back from gaining an audience on Toonami.

Well, to be fair, avoiding post-timeskip OP stuff on the internet (at least when it comes to designs) would be pretty hard given that thats all the current art-work you'll see when the series is being promoted in any way. FUNimation just released the last pre-timeskip DVD today I believe, so we'll probably hit the time-skip officially later next year. Of course, that didn't stop them from dubbing Film Z or Film Gold, which both take place after the time-skip. And of course, Toonami still has to finish Thriller Bark. We'll be entering a series of arcs though that change up the usual OP arc formula, though, so that's something to look forward to.

I dunno, Jman...... we've had other shows follow Kai before, and the drops weren't nearly this bad.
