As of about 4 PM this afternoon, Black Clover episodes (Pages) 1-5 were streaming! So you can catch up on all the screaming all this week! I also just noticed that Pages 1 & 2 have next-episode previews that were unaired on TV, but none of the others do. I don't get why they don't just show all the next-episode previews online since there's no need to cut them for time like they are on TV, but I guess that would make too much sense...

Not true. More like just under half, depending upon the demographic, and that's only the case for Super. Besides, thus far the latest show we've seen is 5th out of 11. That's mid-block, but still in the first half. Later on we'll see if Naruto's kitty-fest could beat earlier shows. I wouldn't expect to see that on Toonami, at least not as a simul-dub. Interestingly enough, if any TV network *cough*Syfy*cough* were to ever think about airing the first season, airing this what appears to be prequel season first would seem to be a decent idea... ...if this was 2015 and Toonami's ratings were still great, but at LEAST they got better in week 2 of this Dandy schedule with no Cable Originals after 12:30: http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-2-3-2018.html Dragon Ball Super not only WON THE NIGHT among cable originals in 18-34, DBZ Kai: Final Chapters also tied for 3rd (with Live PD), Black Clover tied for 4th (with 10 AM SportsCenter), and JoJo tied for 6th (with 1 AM Two And A Half Men). In 18-49, the shows all performed much better, though DBS still lost by a full 0.2 to LIve PD. That show's popularity astounds me, but if you ask me, they should have done a Special Edition Sunday Night after the Super Bowl covering all the chaos in Philly. Boy, I can hardly wait until that show goes on hiatus again and Toonami's ratings might be able to shine again!

Well folks, it seems like after almost a 2.5-year run of weekday marathons on the Toonami streaming channel which debuted in 2015, the party may finally be over, as at this time the streaming channel is just playing last Friday's pre-flight episode ad-nauseum, just as it did for the first 6 months or so after it debuted before the weekday marathons were added with Attack on Titan Season 1 on 8/25/15. It looks like if you want to rewatch Toonami shows, you'll have to rely on On-Demand for now, where they still have quite an extensive library, but of course it pales in comparison to anything you'll find on a subscription service like Netflix, Hulu, or VRV. I'll keep y'all posted as to the fate of this stream throughout the week, but for now, know that you're not missing anything. Later!

Glad I finally got to watch this episode in glorious HD last night after unfortunately crashing on it Saturday night. It also has an interesting call-back with some birds in 10 episodes!

On the subject of THIS week's Pre-Flight, strange that DeMarco and co. didn't know that Interstella 5555 DID get a Blu-Ray Release in 2011: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=2391 https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/releases.php?id=19249 ...but it looks like it's already out-of-print.

That wouldn't be it, since TG:Re was never announced for January. It's not coming out until April so the situation doesn't match what we know about the "mystery show". But I have to admit, for Toonami not to have gotten Darling In The Franxx to replace Lupin is pretty laughable. I guess it COULD replace Gundam later on, though that's what I'm hoping Tokyo Ghoul: Re does. And then there are slots in the nostalgia zone that will be free soon, though DITF would move everything before it down. Also waiting somewhere in the wings with its long-awaited English dub is Re:Zero. That should be an expansion (to 10 PM) show!

This would be IDEAL to replace Gundam IBO at 12:30 in May. But watch us get Tokyo Ghoul: Re instead...
