I'm really not sure if it's working for anyone else, but it's not working for me, and hasn't since Friday afternoon.

Tomorrow is Goku day (since "go" in Japanese means 5, and "ku" means 9), as well as King Piccolo day from the original Dragonball, so it only makes sense that Dragon Ball Super is streaming this week on the marathon stream. I believe it's some episodes in the fake Vegeta arc, but since the app is apparently still down, the only way you'll see them is by using the [as] website.

First look at ratings is in courtesy of ShowBuzzDaily, and My Hero Academia didn't really make that much of a difference--or DID it?? We STILL don't know how well My Hero Academia did since for some bizarre reason it got listed as a rerun, apparently, but so did Black Clover. That leaves only 3 shows that we know the ratings for... ...and since it IS just 3 shows, I won't even bother doing my usual graphs, but both the Dragon Balls WERE up in all demographics, and markedly so in the case of Kai, though not necessarily so in terms of retention. It's almost as if viewers were waiting around for something... Meanwhile JoJo improved on the 12:30 slot's Gundam IBO last week, as well as on itself at midnight last week in both of the main target demographics.

Friday night advance confirmed, but since the app has been down this weekend, the only way to watch the stream of AoT episodes 6-10 is on the [as] website! And knowing what we now know about Reiner and Bertholdt, it sure is interesting to see what their role was during the Trost arc!

I'm not so sure I consider Haruko to be a villain so much as a powerful foreign being with an opportunistic goal. She doesn't care who she uses to achieve that goal, though. But it's a little different than true villainy because she's not actively seeking to harm anyone.

Black Clover = Bleach?? Well, depends on if it runs for more than 51 episodes. Right now, it's more like Soul Eater, at least in terms of length. If we're including My Hero Academia as one of the "new big 3," really, there's only one show still continuing serially that comes close: AOT.

But that was at least a dub premiere. Easier to defend "all new" in that case than it is when the show's been streaming online in its dubbed format for 2 years! But damn right I agree it needed topicals. "On the next episode" would have been OK though...

I hope next week I'm able to actually watch most of Toonami live. We're already done with Ghost for the night! Up next, Rick & Morty? AH, SCREW THAT! I'm finally gonna watch Episode 1 of My Hero Academia!

Wow, this show is actually getting topicals that say "all new". I'm so flabberghasted I don't know what to say... I guess I'm like "RIGHT ON that it's getting topicals," but "'all new' my ass!"

Believe me, I'm tempted...

Unfortunately, I won't be able to watch along with y'all tonight, as the stupid [as] app I was relying on to watch the show on nights the bartenders are too stubborn to change the channel is still down. I CAN watch SNL though, so yay? At any rate, hope my trusty DVR is picking this first episode up in full HD glory, and I'll probably be watching with the West Coast later...
