  2. Damn, I hope Pixie-Bob is just injured and not dead! Episode 41 has NOT been kind to Cherami Leigh's characters!! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/my-hero-academia/episode-41/.130691 Grade: "B+." The training was intense, but I'm glad we're not gonna just screw around with that for half a season!
  3. The last hour before St. Patrick's Day officially began on the East Coast was truly the "love hour!" https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/boruto-naruto-next-generations/episode-22/.120745 Grade "B." Somehow, it might have been better for Karin just to have been there!?
  4. You're right. We WERE just on Episode 22. Fixed it... Now maybe if we're lucky, Toonami will fix their mistake with Episode 6 of SAO as well??
  5. What's funny is a new Geico ad campaign uses "believe it." Would maybe have been good for sponsorship of Boruto, but "y'know..."
  6. This is certainly enough to make me want to do it next week. But St. Patty's Day shenanigans trumped everything this week! I'm just now catching up! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dragon-ball-super/episode-102/.119797 Grade: "B+". I might have gone A-, but maybe the showdown between 17 and Brianne next week will go into that territory?
  7. Ok, so recap: BEFORE THE EPISODE U2: 10/10 (Full strength) U3: 7/10 U4: 7/10 U6: 10/10 (Full strength) U7: 9/10 (Almost full strength) U9: 0/10 (Eliminated) U10: 4/10 U11: 4/10 TOTAL: 51/80 AFTER THE EPISODE U2: 8/10 U10: 3/10 All others unchanged TOTAL: 48/80
  8. So, really, the only weird things that happened are: SAO aired only the first half of its episode, Megalobox aired the first half of its episode twice Naruto Shippuden aired the entirety of its episode minus the OP between commercial breaks. Did I get that right?

  11. Tomorrow night (3/16), when St. Paddy's Day has officially come for Central Time (MY time zone), Formerly Gearless Joe, who now dons gear, will begin his climactic final showdown with Yuri! 12. When this episode premieres on Toonami, St. Paddy's Day will have officially begun on the east coast, and so will the showcase of the first official day of the UA heroes' hell-camp!! So grab that Guinness, and get ready! Midnight tomorrow night (3/16, technically 3/17) ♧ ONLY TOONAMI!! ♧

  14. Grab a green beer, gather 'round your devices, and get ready for the next chapter of the tournament of power!! 11 PM tomorrow night, ALMOST St. Patrick's Day!! ♧ ONLY TOONAMI!!! ♧
  15. Well, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Hunter x Hunter already certainly have their moments...
  16. The irony is now that they're gone, interesting stuff IS happening!
  17. From what I understand, that OVA would be an hour long with no commercials. If Crunchyroll actually mentioned that, then it would need to be like an hour-and-a-half special if it aired on TV, kind of like episodes 4 and 10 of Hellsing Ultimate.
  18. If you mean the 13th episode of MegaloBox, I don't believe it's actually an OVA. It seems like it was a regular aired-on-TV 13th episode: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=20565
  19. Dragon Ball Super always seems to drop from Family Guy in total viewers, but it usually beats it in the major key demos. Hopefully next week the back half won't drag down the block by virtue of technically being on an hour earlier, and we'll be back in the 300Ks again...but I DON'T have high hopes because it's the night before St. Patrick's Day, and last time this happened, they aired a movie (Evangelion 1.11). It seems to me that Toonami should have reached for a MegaloBox marathon of the first 11 episodes instead, but I guess we'll see. Speaking of MegaloBox, STILL no word on what's replacing it on March 30th. It's quite likely to be Mob Psycho 100 Season 2, but it's also quite likely they just add another rerun slot (with MegaloBox in that slot) at 3 or 3:30 AM and just move everything up by 30 minutes. Oddly enough, outside of its marathon, Hunter x Hunter has never aired at 2 AM. I suppose it's also possible it could leapfrog over Black Clover for its final 14 episodes, but the ratings don't really support that.
  20. No surprise. Toonami may soon have an official presence on VRV...
  21. Thanks!! Events this morning caused me to be a little slower on the uptake than usual. Not all the data has come in yet, but it seems we're still above average for 2019! Oop, here we go: "Adult Swim’s line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL at 0.38 and 0.15/447 & 0.15/423K compared to last week’s 0.42 and 0.16/470K & 0.15/426K, BORUTO down 0.05 to 0.26, MY HERO ACADEMIA down 0.03 to 0.26/563K, SWORD ART ONLINE down 0.07 to 0.21, MEGALOBOX down 0.02 to 0.20/445K, JOJO’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE down 0.02 to 0.19, BLACK CLOVER down 0.03 to 0.17/383K, HUNTER X HUNTER down 0.02 to 0.14/333K, NARUTO down 0.02 to 0.14/343K, and ATTACK ON TITAN down 0.02 to 0.12/293K." So, everything was down, but most shows were down by 0.02 or 0.03 in 18-49. Only Dragon Ball Super, Boruto, and SAO declined worse, with SAO being the turkey of the night. Seems lately that the even-numbered episodes impress but the odd-numbered episodes falter. And as for retention in total viewers: 3/9/19 - Total Viewers Show Viewers Retention DBZ Kai 447,000 DBS (R) 423,000 94.63% DBS (P) 858,000 Boruto 576,000 67.13% MHA 563,000 97.74% SAO3 444,000 78.86% MegaloBox 445,000 100.23% JoJo4 399,000 89.66% B. Clover 383,000 95.99% H×H 333,000 86.95% Shippuden 343,000 103.00% AOT 293,000 85.42% AVERAGE 463,700 2nd of 10 That average is down almost 40K, but still good enough for 2nd-best this year! Boy is the gap between MHA and Boruto ever closing! It probably won't be long until it starts overtaking it occasionally...
  22. FINALLY caught this episode in its entirety earlier tonight! https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/dragon-ball-super/episode-101/.119511 Grade: "B+". For all the glowing talk you'd think he'd have graded it higher, but it DID go up a whole letter grade from last week!
