  1. Page 113: Storming the Shadow Palace We ain't in pandemic hiatus YET! Enjoy the magic hour, 1:30 AM, WHILE YOU STILL CAN! Right after the Season Finale of Food Wars! ONLY TOONAMI!!
  2. Did that ever get a dub? I mean, that would be awesome, but Toonami's not gonna start airing subs!
  3. One more full season. AFAIK, 4th Plate is either not dubbed yet or partially dubbed, but 3rd plate is. It seems Toonami is working through the issues and might be able to get it in time to replace one of the other shows temporarily between Black Clover and JoJo that might run out of dubbed episodes prematurely.
  4. We interrupt this mountain of nonsense to bring some actual news, though it has been reported in another thread: Food Wars is NOT being renewed (at least not for now). Paranoia Agent replaces it (yes, at 1 AM!) on April 25th. Personally, I would have chosen 1:30 and moved Black Clover up to 1, because PA would pair better with JoJo, but I digress. JoJo stays stuck at 2 AM.
  5. I think Paranoia Agent is the PERFECT show for Toonami to be playing during the pandemic! It's interesting that DeMarco is saying Food Wars is being REPLACED completely. We're losing Demon Slayer just 2 weeks after PA hits the block. If they were bringing in 3rd Plate, that's when I would put it. I wonder what will be replacing Demon Slayer instead if that's NOT the case. But it's quite interesting that we have a show that really doesn't fit the feel of Toonami replacing ANOTHER show that never really seemed to fit the feel of Toonami. And that show replaced another show that really didn't fit the feel of Toonami (Promised Neverland), and then of course THAT show ALSO replaced a show that didn't really fit the feel of Toonami (Megalobox), and then...well, you get the idea. So perhaps this is just a stop-gap before 3rd Plate comes on? While Food Wars is different, I did enjoy First Plate and Second Plate, and would like to be able to see 3rd plate on Toonami. The question is: "When?" I guess the rights issue might be resolved in a month or two, and right now shows that are already dubbed are invaluable since due to the pandemic and the precarious situation of home studios, work on new dubs has slowed to a crawl or at least a slow waddle from its previous breakneck pace. So we COULD see Third Plate return to replace MHA (NOT at Midnight), Black Clover (if it goes into hiatus, which it seems it will) or JoJo. If Toonami is looking for "low-hanging fruit" for 12:30 to replace Demon Slayer, might I suggest Tokyo Ghoul: RE? Or maybe Blood Blockade Battlefront? How about Star Blazers 2199/2202? That should hold down a timeslot for a while! It seems 2020, with its unique challenges, might be the perfect year to explore some of these overlooked gems, especially during the 2017-19 time frame when the block was loaded, now that it's all they can do to fill 3 hours!
  6. MAJOR step back this week for the marathon. I wonder if this was really counter-programming against SNL's stay-at-home special? https://programminginsider.com/saturday-final-ratings-saturday-night-live-at-home-on-nbc-delivers-the-late-night-variety-series-second-best-telecast-figures-of-the-season/
  7. Sleep, LOL! That's rarely a part of any of our PSAs!
  8. We thought Japan was ahead of the curve somehow, but turns out they were just behind it. Here's hoping for a seasonal effect on the coronavirus, or else Japan's June might look like America's April! And I guess this means we can kiss Fire Force Season 2 goodbye at least for July. It's looking more like an October release, perhaps alongside TPN and Dr. Stone Season 2!
  9. Well, I guess I'm going to bed. Good night! Until next week!
  10. Yeah, I kinda wish he had had a bigger part than that!
  11. This was important because all her life, Ashi had heard he was scum from Aku and Alpha and her sisters. She began to doubt that in the previous 2 episodes, and this one cemented that belief until she's finally ready to fight for him in the next one!
  12. "Looked like a talking penis!" I FORGOT about that gag!
  13. Hey, that wasn't on that sign before! HE MADE IT!
  14. Well, that was a hilariously bad move! You know, I thought I would agree with this selection a bit more, but these were not the best episodes to marathon by far. BAD cliffhanger!
  15. Yeah, for real! This is almost more audacious than anything Vegeta did!
  16. Our world ALSO has some buttmunch hogging the airwaves and spreading terror!
  17. Imagine bringing back a game that hasn't been played in like a couple of decades and having the whole fate of the planet riding on it! That's what just happened here!
  18. Well, that's a hell of a way to make an entrance!
  19. Well, if they can get one done every 2 weeks, at least the schedule will restabilize through the end of Demon Slayer, as the episode which gets done by April 26th would be ready to lead-in to the finale of DS on May 2nd. Then after that, maybe Toonami goes 1-3 AM or begins with a special for a while? I would love to see them pull off something crazy like Gundam Thunderbolt from 11:30-1 AM on May 9th (December Sky) and May 16th (Bandit Flower) leading into a "normal" lineup from 1 AM-3 AM, as Food Wars, Black Clover, JoJo, and Shippuden should most likely be able to air without interruption for now. Then after another marathon on May 23rd, enough time would have been bought to air the episodes which premiere on FUNimation NOW on May 10th, May 24th, and June 7th on Toonami on May 30th, June 6th, and June 13th. Perhaps they could also manage to get a couple of new shows, or one new and one classic, to keep 11:30 PM-3 AM after a brief contraction to 12-3 AM from April 18th to May 2nd, or if they do get Thunderbolt, Food Wars could take a break. With DS ending and MHA potentially going on hiatus, this schedule is just begging to have movies or other specials to kick off the block!
  20. Goku randomly realizes what Trunks learned the hard way!
