What do you do when My Hero Academia is 86'ed? Why, you rerun episode 86! And I haven't heard a peep from FUNimation about 87, so I guess next week we just might get 86 AGAIN!!! Honestly, though, at this point I feel it might be better for Toonami to mix-it up and give one of those episodes that is currently airing on weekdays and Saturday mornings at 5:30 A threepeat or even 4-peat in the lead timeslot. Perhaps it could be the result of a vote? If they're looking to leave MHA at midnight for the long haul, might be the best way to do it. Of course I feel at some point they'll drag Dragon Ball Super back out of the vault, though hopefully not the beginning. That kinda bombed at 8:30 PM on Saturday nights at the beginning of the year, though at this point when the networks are all on "survival" mode, it's difficult to even know just what a "bomb" is anymore. But maybe FUNimation actually does something nice for Toonami for once and lets them have 87 FIRST next week, then debuts both 87 and 88 streaming to finish the series next Sunday. There is a general feeling that they belong together and that would certainly be interesting.

Well, that's interesting. Apparently this week only, it's been replaced with reruns of Live Rescue. But since Toonami doesn't have any premieres left to speak of, since for some dumb reason they haven't considered Black Clover to be one since it got dropped from its original 11:30 timeslot to midblock hell, it's like Alanis Morrissette's "Ironic". I wonder if they would use an upcoming hiatus in Black Clover's run to return it to prime position once it DOES return. That might not be a bad idea.

Or rather HAD the sequel series also airing. It got through episode 64 and then stopped. But Shippuden's run has persisted on Toonami at the glacial pace of one episode a week ever since 2014! You have to admire that kind of dedication considering what the franchise has been through on U.S. TV!

I'm just curious as to what [as] is going to put on at 3 AM on 6/13. Perhaps programming will let Toonami have the slot back so it's back to 6 anime shows, even if it's for a rerun like GITS, Bebop, or FLCL Prog/Alt! Hell, why not give Lupin III Part 5 another run if they can do that?

Why do I have a feeling JoJo is going going to end up replacing a hiatus-ing Black Clover at 1:30 AM to allow Clover to catch up with dubbing more episodes once My Hero Academia Season 4 ends? Has FUNimation even announced how far BC has gotten? We half expected Episode #87 of MHA to release Sunday given how many episodes of it Toonami replayed, but I don't think it did. BC I believe managed to dub Page 125 last, but for some reason even home dubbing has gone on hiatus?

Boy, there HAS been a lot going on in the world these days. So much that I forgot to post this, the next installment of my "FLASHBACK - FIVE YEARS AGO" series: Last week's numbers aren't out yet, but soon we'll see how JoJo (and maybe Paranoia Agent) did...

Amidst Toonami shrinking to its smallest size in 4 years earlier this year, we also recently witnessed another, much more welcome change: banter between T.O.M. and S.A.R.A. at the top of each block, this time loosely reflecting current events. April began this change on April 4th with a pandemic-related message, and May followed with another. But will June change the tune to the George Floyd protests and riots currently breaking out in America? With curfews back on in many major U.S. Cities in response to the riots, more eyeballs will most likely be on Toonami than usual this week once again. It would certainly be a good time for T.O.M. and S.A.R.A. to give such a message to their base, who have been known throughout the years to contain more Blacks than the average TV demographic.

Wait, what?? That's not even close to right! At 202 episodes left, it will be 4 years and change!

I wanna say this episode was probably recorded in like March or April. It's no simuldub, but that doesn't mean it was completed before it aired on Toonami!

BTW, his name is a thinly-veiled reference to the band Abba! How in the hell Zeppelis don't turn up in this part, since they are indeed Italian, is beyond me. Maybe he actually IS a Zeppeli?
