  1. https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/sword-art-online-alicization-war-of-underworld-part-2/episode-3/.162231 4 Stars. And we leave on one HELL of a 2-week cliffhanger! Oh well; on to Fire Force, which we can only HOPE will be "nicer!"
  2. Hopefully, I can actually stay up tonight for... Episode 6: Swordsman Accompanying A Demon 3 AM tonight, ending the night with a SLASH!
  3. Episode 319: "The Soul Inside The Puppet" Are we FINALLY back to Canonical Naruto? Stick around after Death Beat(s) and Find Out! 1:30 AM tonight (11/21-22/20) ONLY TOONAMI!!
  4. Episode 93: You're Our Tenth Warrior! Goku Approaches Frieza!! Kicking off TOONAMI at Midnight Tonight! (11/21-22/20)
  5. The Death Beat(s) marches on, with 2 more episodes of absurd musical nonsense! 2 AM - Episode 5: Db6 (Is that supposed to be the letter "b" or a flat sign? Does anyone even know, or care?) To reach the Center of All Death, our heroes board a ferry that's attempting to navigate multiple mythological rivers. Who is more dangerous--some of the dead passengers, or the enigmatic Finnish psychopomp boat captain, Tytti? 2:15 AM - Episode 6: D7#9 The ferry has crashed into the Inuit frozen underworld of Adlivun--but the Hindu death god Yama is waiting for them! Can Makasu escape the religious entities trying to judge his soul? These episode descriptions sound more interesting than we all know the episodes will be, right? Well, turn your brain off and watch this trainwreck with us! ONLY TOONAMI...and tomorrow night's 1 AM encore!
  6. I would say the 19th MIGHT be a normal day. It is also possible that our only December marathon is the 26th and we also get one on the 2nd of January. I would guess that one of the Holiday marathons (if there are 2) would be Attack on Titan Season 3 Part 2 in anticipation of the final season, which may be coming either January 2nd or 9th, since it is set to premiere in Japan on December 7th.
  7. Episode 12 - "Ball Game Tournament Time" PLAY BALL!!! 1:30 AM Tonight (11/21-22/20) ONLY TOONAMI!!!
  8. Episode 15 - "Instigation" With no time to mourn Bercouli, the War of Underworld rages on!! 12:30 AM Tonight (11/21-22/20) ONLY TOONAMI!!!
  9. Episode 3 "A New Flashpoint" Some new antagonists model the proper way to go out during this pandemic, by wearing masks! Enjoy the first episode of Season 2 not shown at this summer's FUNimationCON Sneak Peek! The night burns at 1 AM tonight (11/21-22/20)! ONLY TOONAMI!!!
  10. "Adult Swim’s late-night line-up performed as follows: DRAGON BALL at 0.25/443K compared to last week’s 0.21/393K, SWORD ART UNDERWORLD up 0.02 to 0.19, FIRE FORCE down 0.01 to 0.16, ASSASSINATION CLASSROOM down 0.01 to 0.15, GEMUSETTO at 0.14/0.14 compared to last week’s 0.12/0.11, NARUTO up 0.01 to 0.12/213K, and DEMON SLAYER steady at 0.09/189K." By the way, it turns out DBS, SAO, and Fire Force all beat the BUTT Bowl (Baylor University at Texas Tech) on Fox Sports 1 in Adults 18-49, and all of Toonami from 12:30-2:30 AM beat it in Adults 18-34 and several other key demos! Kick that BUTT, Toonami!
  11. Death Beat(s) actually beat Fire Force and Ass Class and tied with SAO in 18-34!
  12. Well, all 5 eligible shows made the list, but these numbers are still eh. http://www.showbuzzdaily.com/articles/showbuzzdailys-top-150-saturday-cable-originals-network-finals-11-14-2020.html I wish the news would take a break just ONE Saturday! And reruns STILL don't work at the top of the block! Maybe after the PRIMAL marathon on Thanksgiving Weekend, we'll come back with something new and they'll be kicked down to 3:30 or something? Yasha-Hime, maybe? Then again, if they were gonna start airing that in December, they would have announced it at the Final Pre-Flight, right??
  13. Now literally all Toonami is, is the TV block. Toonami Pre-Flight lasted from March 2015 to November 2020. Hell, I really would only give it about as far as September. While it was kinda cool that it sunsetted as an acutal online program leading-in to Toonami, once Toonami started with a rerun of Dragon Ball Super, I kinda stopped caring about it. And I really feel that it often had very little to do with Toonami as a whole. The Toonami Faithful Podcast, though unofficial, was, and is, living up to its name as often more faithful to Toonami. I do indeed hate to see Pre-Flight go. I guess now the only way Toonami will really communicate with its fans off-air is through streamed con panels on Adult Swim's YouTube channel? Well that, and the old default that is DeMarco's Twitter account.
  14. Yeah, certainly not the "low hanging fruit" I thought they would announce, like AOT The Final Season or Yasha-Hime!
  15. Speak for yourself; I've been QUITE active this 2nd half of the year, since I live in a red state! But I digress. I wonder how many total shows Toonami has aired in 2020? My Hero Academia Dr. Stone One-Punch Man Fire Force Food Wars! Demon Slayer Black Clover JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Golden Wind Naruto: Shippuden The Promised Neverland Attack On Titan Sword Art Online: Alicization - War Of Underworld Dragon Ball Z Kai Paranoia Agent Mob Psycho 100 Ballmastrz 9009 Dragon Ball Super Samurai Jack (Season 5) Batman: Year One Batman: The Dark Knight Returns (Parts 1 & 2) Batman: Gotham Knight Assassination Classroom Gemusetto: Death Beats And so PRIMAL makes the 24th show/movie series on Toonami this year! Not bad for a year which was hilariously hobbled by a deadly pandemic!
  16. It's just straight-up weird nonsense most of the time! But it isn't completely without redeeming qualities. Still, it's definitely the worst show on Toonami! That said, it may actually be the best show on Sunday nights, because Dream Corp LLC is complete garbage!
  17. Nepotism? Do you even know what that word means? Did he hire his children?? I didn't watch it last night, but thank goodness I've got Second Chance Sunday tonight at 12:15 AM CT!
  18. I did dig a live performance or two occasionally on FishCenter, but the rest of the time, I thought it was a mess. The weird thing is with Crunchyroll potentially leaving HBO Max, this could be Toonami's chance to cement itself there, and if so, we might see the return of Toonami Pre-Flight in some form. I think it would be cool if they took a page out of Talking Dead's playbook and aired a discussion show after the block, but there's no chance in hell you're doing that live at 3 AM. They're gonna need lots of programming with Family Guy leaving, so who knows? Could be something that airs at a weird time like 11 PM on Monday nights...
